Most of the times I go to Munnar, I'm hoping for a disconnect from the world I'm usually in. Being in blackberry hills is truly a disconnect while being in the lap of luxury.

The resort is perched on the side of a hill and the reception is at the very top. That's where your connection to the chaotic world ends. You could either walk down the twisty path to your room or get the golf cart. I'd recommend walking as the view when you reach the curves are some of the best you'll lay your eyes on.

If you think the walk to your rooms were amazing, just wait until you get to the restaurant. The large glass windows let's you see Munnar in all its glory while being warm and cosy inside. Once you get accustomed to the chill, step out onto the nicely laid sitting area below the restaurant area.

The staff's more than happy to serve you the coffee there and trust me, that's the way to enjoy your morning coffee. The fog gently caresses you while you sip the elixir of life and pleasure.

The rooms are decent and the bed's soft and plush. However the washroom had all these herbal stuff that smelled divine. The food was truly homemade level and the staff was never more than a few minutes away.

If you're staying here, I'd highly recommended the spa. The staff is very knowledgeable and makes sure that you are comfortable and relaxed. I would also recommend that you take the golf cart back to the room after your massage. My legs felt like they were made of jelly when I was walking down the path.

10/10...

Nestled in Bison Valley, The Hornbill Restaurant serves up wholesome, delicious organic food accompanied by spectacular views of lush tea gardens. The restaurant is perched at an elevation, featuring private cottages that provide stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. It's a short 3 minute walk down hill through the property to reach the restaurant.

As a vegetarian, I was delighted by our selections. We ordered the palak paneer, which featured succulent, soft paneer enveloped in perfectly tempered palak gravy. The vegetable korma was spiced just right, and the wheat paratha was beautifully layered and absolutely delicious. All dishes are crafted from organic vegetables, free from artificial coloring or excessive spices. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with a perfect presentation that complemented the meal.

The service was impeccable. The staff was efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely polite, embodying the essence of true hospitality.

If you want to enjoy the purest essence of Munnar, this is the place to indulge in fantastic food whipping up local dishes,North Indian and chinese. With pricing comparable to other restaurants in and around Munnar, the luxury this establishment offers, combined with the quality of food, breathtaking views, and tranquility, is unmatched in the region.

A special shoutout to Roopjit for your efficient, knowledgeable and polite demeanour, embodying the essence of true...

They are not serving anything, except making fool. If you don't have a stay here then staff will refuse you dining space. So, if you are outsider just planning to have a decent food in restaurant you would be refused. So diverting and tracking 3 km into the mountains to reach will be waste.

From here onwards in this review is a reply to the reply given by restaurant to my above review.

I came here for dinner (not lunch) at 6:30 pm and not 4:15 pm. You can verify in your cameras. I respect your attitude towards staff for not pushing them over their working hours. But seems in return your staff is fooling you as well like they are fooling their customers. I accepted the offered tea and snacks option but when I considered it the next minute receptionist called someone and refused it as well saying that's also not available (ask your guard who was standing right behind).

Suggest you to do some due diligence before just going on posting replies using chat GPT. Otherwise your 'little' place would only be able to run for 'little' more days. And better update your timings on Google map in place of giving lame excuses when your staff is not in position to serve. Will help future customer's save...
