Veg Bhavan – A Refreshing Pit Stop in Wayanad

During our visit to Wayanad, we stopped by Veg Bhavan for a coffee break, and it turned out to be a great choice! The place was clean and well-maintained, with spotless washrooms—always a plus for travelers.

We tried their coffee and cutlet, both of which were deliciously sweet and satisfying. I personally loved them!

The parking space is quite convenient, with room for 4 to 6 cars, making it an easy stop for those traveling by road.

Another interesting find was the "Happy Top Spices and Handicrafts" shop nearby, which caught my attention after our coffee break—perfect for picking up some local specialties.

The highlight of the place? A full map of Wayanad district displayed at the billing counter! It was a nice touch and quite helpful for travelers looking to explore the region.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was shockingly bad from the moment we arrived. Despite ordering early, our food was delayed for an unacceptable amount of time. To make matters worse, the staff, especially the waiters, were extremely rude and arrogant. One of them even shouted at us like we were eating for free.

After waiting for 30 minutes, we were told that one of the items we ordered was unavailable, which should have been mentioned earlier. When we finally got the bill, it was incorrect, with extra items added that we didn’t even order.

More than the tasty food, what stands out in the place is the hospitable and welcoming behaviour of the owner. Out of limited vegetarian options in Wayanad, i would highly recommend this place. Tried their north Indian dishes like roti, nan, dal, jeera rice, kadai paneer & gobi 65. Everything was tasty. The owner even served us a local pickle complementary.
