Spice Street — Restaurant in Kolkata

Me and my husband were frequent customers at this eatery till few months ago. Things were good initially when the restaurant was new and the owner/manager who took the orders and payments had a promising attitude and adviced good dishes to us but things changed drastically when the restaurant subscribed to Zomato gold and Swiggy Dine out. The owner/manager created a separate menu card for people who paid through Zomato gold and Swiggy Dine out. This menu card has almost all the items of original menu card but the items are cooked in compromised manner and at little lesser price. The taste and hygiene of food in this menu card is quite low. THIS IS UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. If you enter the restaurant and inform him that you will pay using Zomato gold or Swiggy Dine out, he will give you the cheaper menu card and if you don't mention any thing before and directly inform him this during payment, he will be utterly annoyed with the fact that he served you food from original menu card and he will also cry about his loss. This has happened on 3 different occasions with us that he misbehaved with us for not informing him about Zomato gold before ordering food and he claimed that he was at loss for that. I have been to several restaurants in Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai and used Zomato gold but NEVER saw separate menu card for this nor did we face bad behaviour for paying through Zomato gold anywhere. We were quite shocked and the only thing which came to my mind is that, if he can make separate menu card with cheap foods, he can go to any length to make profits by harming the customers. We don't know what he does in the kitchen behind our back. If he has so much problem with Zomato gold and Swiggy Dine out, he should NOT have enrolled his restaurant under that. He wants to fetch customers from those discounts but doesn't want to follow the terms and conditions of those applications. We stopped going there after 3rd day of such misbehaviour. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND...

A small and cosy chinese restaurant that serves real good chinese when it comes to regular chinese chicken dishes. We tasted Chicken fried rice and tangra style chilli chicken on our second visit. The rice was good with generous amount of chicken in it. The chilli chicken was tasty as well but with one downside that it was quite hard and chewy. This place has immense potential but these fine tunings are required. Willing to be able to give 5 stars some day. If anyone from the owner panel is seeing this, I would request you to pay heed...

Will I didn't know the such a hidden gem located pretty close to my house in Behala I had ordered roasted chilli pork and chili pepper chicken, both were diligently made The taste and quality of food was pretty premium, lip smacking & scrumptious. Reminded me of Tangra ( China Town ) I am yet to visit the place for a dining experience, I'm looking forward to taste other dishes & few Korean treats from spice treat. Good job bro(...
