Point No 1. This is not a 2 star or 3 star restaurant. It is a simple one.

Point 2. Omkareswar is a village. So do not expect sophisticated waiters etc.,

No. Then you will be disappointed.

Now coming to the review.

One day we reached this place around 2 PM. First enquired at Bhakta Niwas. There we were told it was late. Anyhow I came to know through other friend that it is meant for residents only these days.

We were around 20 people. We went to this hotel, a small place only because it has a AC room and it was hot outside. We ordered simple thali. Now I would like to say that the food quality is Okay. Not spicy and taste is good.

Twenty years back when I first went to Omkareswar thali means few roti and then pieces of alu in lal (red) mirchi. Now this food is comparatively 10 times better.

Roti( tawa/tanduri both), two curries not spicy, dal and rice. We got curd, butter milk and bottled water which are charged extra. At the end of the food we were happy that we got decent meal. Waiters also promptly brought food and served it and like I wrote earlier do not expect them to be sophisticated!

In fact I took a photo of this place so as to tell my other friends who will be visiting later. So you can...

Worst,,,, cockroaches in our plates... We just ordered food and they served us Plates stacked up,, not placed to each one of our places, when we served plates to each other we were shocked that lots of corcroches in hour plates,, IDK for how many days those plates places somewhere and just putten on service not cleaned not even before serving to eat,, this is not good place to eat... They don't care about your health they want to just earn money,, I don't the food is also fresh or...

Don't trust the reviews of you like good food and prompt service. Food lacked taste, had a lot of spices. Even the less spicy food had no taste. We tried dal tadka which had no taste. Veg kofta had 4 very small kofta balls and didn't taste like veg kofta. Service was extremely bad with less crowd. I don't know where the...
