I had got back from Bikaner, Rajasthan and my wife and I decided to dine-out at an exquisite restaurant and it took us to K Bhagat Tarachand. The ambience of the two storey establishment was amazing and very well-lit. The seating arrangement was quite comfortable and the vibes were great. The staff showed us a table for two and one of the staff members were there to take our order. He placed distilled water bottle and two glasses.
We went through the comprehensive Menu and ordered for Special Bhagat Thali. The next moment the Manager walked up to our table and after exchanging pleasantries, he suggested us to try their specialty, Papad Churi. We got it added to our Menu and it got served the next moment. It was worth ordering and tasting. Crushed fried papad with roasted thin sliced onion tasted great.
Thali was equally delectable. They served three extremely soft chapatis soaked in ghee, daal tadka, one paneer vegetable, another vegetable containing cauliflower and peas, dry potatoes, rice, one piece of hara bhara kebab, chaas and finger-licking moong ki daal ka halwa. They served two rotis first and then brought the last one before the ones in our plates got finished. The service was quick and very well-organized.
The staff member gave us packed wet wipes to clean our hands. The bill was brought with fennel seeds in two bottles. We paid a decent amount and it was worth every rupee we spent.
They made our evening truly enjoyable and...
Read moreK. Bhagat Tarachand in Indore has been my go-to restaurant for the last 3 years, and every visit feels like coming back home. The consistency in taste, quality, and service is what keeps bringing me back. Whether you’re craving rich North Indian dishes or comforting home-style food, this place never disappoints.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. Their signature dal fry, phulkas, and chhaas are a must-try, and the thali is a perfect choice for a wholesome meal. The portion sizes are generous, and the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality they offer.
The staff here deserves a special mention. They are always polite, quick with service, and attentive to every detail. Even during busy hours, they manage the crowd efficiently without compromising on hospitality. The ambience is clean, simple, and family-friendly, making it ideal for both casual meals and special outings.
My only suggestion would be to expand the seating area slightly, especially for weekends when there’s a longer waiting time. A digital token system could also help manage queues better.
Overall, K. Bhagat Tarachand is a must-visit restaurant in Indore, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine served with...

We ordered Kichiya masala Papad: it's heavier than regular papad, wo beware of quantity you are ordering. It rice papad roasted in tandoor garnished with salad and sev. Baghat special chatpata paneer: quantity enough for 3 people. It's bit on spicier side. Taste awesome. Daal tadka: lip smacking yellow daal with butter tadka, bit on spicier side Butter roti: soft roti with loads of butter . It was a tawa roti. Aldo ordered garlic naan, tandoori and Missi roti were nice, great texture. Dal Makhni: this was the only item i personally didn't like much, was bit sweet and wasn't thick like how a dal Makhni is .
