KFC — Restaurant in Madurai

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a highly disappointing experience I had with your restaurant’s service.

I had placed an order at 9:52 PM, but even by 11:05 PM, no one from your team had contacted me, and my order had still not been delivered. At 11:05 PM, I finally received a call from someone claiming to be from KFC. He asked me to share my location. When I asked him why my order hadn’t been delivered even after more than an hour, he failed to give a clear answer.

Instead, he told me that he was not the delivery person but worked at the shop, and that he would deliver the order only after his shift ended. I tried to ask him about the delay in delivery, but he still did not offer any proper explanation for the delay. He was also extremely rude in the way he spoke to me. Furthermore, he questioned me in a disrespectful tone, asking me to cancel the order.

When I asked him why he was speaking to me without any courtesy, he handed the phone to someone else who said he was the manager. The manager told me there had been a billing issue on their side and that they had only just been able to begin processing the order. He also stated that they didn’t have enough delivery staff and blamed the delay on the KFC administration. He did not offer a single word of apology for the poor service.

Eventually, he said someone else would be sent to deliver the order. After I shared my location again, my order finally arrived at 11:30 PM—more than 1.5 hours after I had placed it.

When i called the manager, The manager identified himself as Senthil and said the team member who spoke to me rudely was named Vicky.

I’m writing this to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the recurring poor service at the KFC Madurai Iyer Bungalow branch. On my recent visit, I ordered Smokey Red Chicken. Initially, the staff confirmed that it was available. However, once the bill was made, the same staff member suddenly claimed it was not available because the drumstick pieces were "locked for another purpose."

This is completely unacceptable. The inconsistency in communication and the utter lack of professionalism are shocking. When asked for an explanation, the staff responded rudely and arrogantly, offering no clear answer. This isn’t a one-time incident — I’ve had this same unpleasant experience multiple times, especially from the female staff members, who seem to have no idea how to treat a regular customer.

The staff clearly lack basic customer service skills and show zero accountability. Is this the standard KFC wants to set? If this is how loyal customers are treated, it won’t be long before you start losing them.

I enjoyed swift and courteous service at this restaurant. Visiting on a Wednesday, the staff helpfully recommended a variety of combos and meals that were part of the day's special deals. Despite being bustling with customers, the team impressively managed to keep the restaurant clean and orderly.

The branch had a nice ambiance, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. However, I found the food to be quite average . While it wasn't terrible but quite good, it didn't meet my expectations in terms .

A very good place to have a quick bite here. We tasted like yummy 😋... Bike parking is only available and car parking is lagged here. One more drawback is some items are not available even at 7.30pm. During weekdays there won't be a crowd, have sufficient seats for families, couples and friends.
