Mug & Beans Cafe — Restaurant in Madurai

If you want to visit only because ambience related thing then it's up to you. But on my experience I would not recommend to visit and dine to that restaurant. The reasons are-

We ordered for Momo jumbo platter in that they mention that they serve steam,fried,tandoori and paneer steam momo but what we got only fried and steam in it but when we complained about it then they told us that fried momo's is our tandoori momo we were surprised they were cheating like this so boldly .

When we complain it about this to the owner he was also in that mentality that they don't think a single customer can affect that much but i asked them by side of all the persons who will plan to visit that place not to get cheated and should know their consumer rights.

Next time if you order lime water and they serve you salt water then don't get surprised because they already consider it as a lime water for them you just have a option to argue but in last you also get believe that yes that was lime water.

The behavior of the staff and owner was not considerable as ethical and morally acceptable.

And they just stant next to you with their review card on Google maps they don't even ask about their services and other things. Even they don't even serve you water without asking of yours. They will pinch you as soon as you sit on the chair for the orders.

I want these kind of cheating should be stopped. They need to stop fooling the people, their prices not matched with what they are serving.

Really disappointed just visited this restaurant only by seeing the reviews but guys please do genuine reviews because what we write people will come on that basis, so be moral wise and ethically strong while writing the reviews. People do hardwork to get this little penny to spend...

From my opinion I don't feel satisfied. Here's my explanation why, Only 3 or 4 cars can be parked so if you are the 5th person then you will struggle lot to park your car also very close to the bypass road which you will see vehicles rushing you need to be keep an eye on your vehicle. The ambience looks good but if its raining you will enjoy showering, it was around 7.30 PM when I reached mug and bean, it started to rain and i was seated in the upstairs with my wife, all the seats where filled with water and its pouring on us. The construction was not that good. No electrical backup facility - My entire dinner went on a night mare. They not even have a emergency lamp, so visitors please have battery backup in your mobile you need to have your own lights if there is no power. Food - I ordered Chilli Panneer, Creamy pasta and panneer noodles. Chilli panneer was tasted like the panneer was not fried properly and the masala smell still on it felt like not cooked properly, Pasta was ok, panneer noodles was extremely oily you feel like tasting oil. More over the food was not good and healthy from my point. I think since there is no power chef was in confusion about cooking 😂😂 If someone feel like the same comment me.

Finally sharing my experience is not to hurt some one, I wanted to bring this notice to the concern person who owns it so some steps need to be taken, secondly customers should feel worthy for...

This one is the best cafe I've visited in the past few months since the pandemic. I got to know about this cafe when a friend of mine posted pics of this cafe in social media. Honestly, this one is one of a kind cafe's in the south of Tamilnadu ( cuz it's really hard to find cafe's down south).

Every dish here I tried had been justified both in taste and cost aspects. The presentation of all the dishes was something I really liked the most. Although, this place offers open dine-in, one shall not worry about the flies coming to the food, cuz they got you covered. Recently they've added another container/room recently with air conditioning facility. It is a glass room unlike just the roof type they previously had. The occupancy has increased and can easily fit in 70-90 people in the cafe as a whole.

It is located on the highway but isn't catchy enough for people driving in four wheelers, cuz I've crossed this place many times but failed to notice this spot everytime.

The parking space has been set up with an option to charge our electric scooters which seemed to be a new and good idea for me.

I've read some reviews stating poor behaviour of the servers, but honestly for me they were just perfect be it serving the food, instructions given they did their job.

I would surely suggest people around Madurai to try this cafe atleast once....
