I was in Solapur on a trip and came across this restaurant when searching for good veg hotels.
On our first visit, all the foods tasted good especially Puran poli, Chapati, Jain dal fry and Paneer Maratha.
So, we visited the second time on the very next day. Taste wasn't as good as the previous day. I tried Thali and it wasn't worth it at all. I asked for Subzi again and they reluctantly served it. Puran poli was salty.
Their overall usage of salt is too high considering the place is a family restaurant where people of all ages eat.
Waiters talk over walky talky and the place is large and crowded. Service needs to be improved. It all looks fancy just for the eyes since the food taste isn't great.
Like a movie we watch one time, we can visit this place once and specifically mention to add less salty to make the dish taste better.
Ambiance was good but they have this thing where only bachelors can eat and family/ ladies shouldn't. It is the place just after you enter where lighting is good and they have sofas.
So, it was strange to know that families should not sit comfortably on sofas and have to resort to...
Read moreThe best place in Solapur for Lunch or Dinner. We went here on recommendation of our taxi driver. Ambience is good with lot of different seating options. We ordered Shenga curry, kadak bhakri, normal jowari bhakri, shendana chutney, techa, Veg Pulav and mattha bottle. We all loved the Shenga bhaji or curry. Good taste and quantity. Kadak bhakri was something different but we all loved it too. Shengdana chutney, mattha bottle and techa are die for and must be ordered. Veg Pulav was superb too with good taste and quantity. Overall everything was just perfect. After reading all this imagine the bill we got. Less than 500rs. We did not believe it too. It is very affordable. Must visit place in Solapur for...
Read moreWorst food ever eaten in life. Do Solapuri's have no good veg restaurant choice at all? We ordered Akikya special veg mix, tanduri and then veg pulav (as we were advised that Kashmiri pulav would be sweet). None of these items were either tasty or made with some sense. Just spicy, hot and terribly pungent. The veg mix was with too much of oil and like a kolhapuri veg terribly spicy and hence we order a simple pulav...that was neither looking and tasting like pulav nor it was made with some sense. Tanduri rotis were just okay. Smallest restaurants would have much better food. Slowly and steadily these people will stop getting repeat customers for sure. Those eating there would be first and last time....
