This used to be our go to place for south indian food when it opened in Baner few years ago. Happy that they opened a branch in Wakad. Now we don't have to travel all the way from Wakad to Baner.

As usual, Anna Mysore Masala Dosa, wada sambar and Idly are too good. To finish it off, a filter coffee is a must. Now they have Thate idly as well, which I will try on my next visit.

Edit: To the management / Owners of Anna Idly In my recent visit - few observations - Kindly improve/work on these. If you don't, we will be happy to skip and go elsewhere. 1.) There should be some responsible adult supervising the customers visiting and note their names so the table can be fairly allocated. This was missed during my visit and the 19-20 year old who was responsible for this task, when asked, told he assumed I was with some other family and so he did not think it was necessary to note down my name. Suggestion: Please don't assume - interact with the customer, if you are in a hospitality business. 2.) The sitting area in ground floor is full of Flies. This is not at all expected and accepted from a reputed restaurant. One complaint to the Fssai and you will be forced to shut shop Suggestion: Invest in a device called - Insect control air curtains. You can google it and enquire and think of installing it. I had a sweets shop and it worked well for my shop and customers were happy. 3.) The person who takes orders needs to ensure the same is communicated to the chef. On 2 occasions I see this was missed. Time to train your staff to LISTEN and not blindly take orders for...

I recently had breakfast at Anna Idli, located at Shop No. 6,7,8 WBiz, Ground Floor, Bhumkar Chowk Road, Wakad, Pune – 411057. The overall experience was excellent, and I’m genuinely impressed with their food and service.

What I ordered: • Cheese Onion Uttapam — perfectly soft and well-fermented base, topped with a generous mix of onions and cheese. It was flavorful without being heavy, and every bite was enjoyable. • Rava Butter Masala Dosa — crisp edges, buttery aroma, and a tasty, well-seasoned potato filling. The accompanying sambhar and chutneys were fresh and enhanced the flavors beautifully.

Service & Staff: Special appreciation goes to Neeraj Kumar (from Jharkhand), who took my order and served us. He was very professional, polite, and prompt throughout. He ensured that the food arrived on time, checked in on us during the meal, and his courteous attitude really made the experience even better. It’s rare to see this level of attentiveness, and he deserves recognition for his excellent service.

Ambience & Cleanliness: The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It’s a great spot for breakfast with family or friends, and the overall vibe is warm and satisfying.
