During our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott , Mahabaleshwar, we dined at the Berry Library. The breakfast buffet spread was quite good, and the live counter had a lot of options to choose from. From Multigrain dosas to masala omelette, etc. The staff is extremely polite and attentive to detail. I don't recall the names of some of the exceptional staff at the restaurant who were so professional in their approach. There was a lady chef who made excellent multigrain dosas, and we had a little chit-chat about all the places to explore nearby. Big shout out to every staff member at Berry Library who made our dining experience worthwhile. The food is quite good in terms of taste and quality. For dinner, we tried shorba , chicken rasa , Crème Brûlée and we loved them. Most often, we preferred in room dining for lunch, and the room service was a tad bit slow. The Berry Library overlooks green hills, offering a great view while you have your breakfast. The restaurant also organizes high tea, but we missed it as we were out exploring the town. Overall, the Berry Library is a very good restaurant with a pleasing aesthetic and a beautiful view. The balcony has limited tables with the view , so it's better to talk to the staff and reserve a table in case you are keen to have breakfast with a view. If the hotel is fully booked and there are a lot of guests , it gets difficult to find a table with the hill view. I look forward to dining at Berry Library on my next trip to...
Read moreI had planned a family buffet lunch of 24 people here, because I wanted it to be wonderful, with a nice atmosphere and service. To begin, the atmosphere is classy and extremely pleasant as you enter the restaurant. Everything in the restaurant is well thought out. The buffet area is in a secluded location that does not interfere with other visitors. They have both an AC and a non-AC area. The buffet spread is quite large, including 1 veg and 1 non-veg soup, 2 veg starters and 1 non-veg starter, 3 types of salad, 2 veg and 2 non-veg main courses, and 1 penne veg pasta, assorted breads, Rice and dal fry etc. Last but not least, the buffet included chocolate brownies, ice creams, gulab jamun, and kalakand. Everything had an excellent flavor. My entire family had a great day, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I would advise them to improve their service slightly. Though the service was excellent, it should have been faster given the big number of people that had arrived for lunch. All the best team for the great gesture you showed by providing us with a cake for a birthday celebration...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the restaurant. When we booked a table we were not told that there is only a buffet for dinner and no A la carte. When we argued and told them that we were not informed they agreed to take A la carte order. The manager who took our order totally messed up the order. We ordered for mushroom risotto and made him repeat our order and still served prawn risotto to me who is a pure vegetarian. They replaced the risotto but we realised after the prawn food went into my mouth. Imagine and they still put that amount in the bill. If it was any other chain of hotels like Taj or Oberoi they would have waived off the entire bill for such a horribly huge mistake but I don’t think the manager has any regrets. The Khou Sui had hair in the noodles. It was such a sorry state of affairs. We had informed them that we are celebrating on friends anniversary. But they didn’t even bother to give a small pastry complementary from the restaurant to the couple who was celebrating. Even a basic restaurant does that. Can’t believe this was a Marriott...
