An “unknown chef’s special dish” . After a tiring day of visits to all Mahabaleshwar’s tourist points we landed to restaurant JK delights food for a quick lunch and without wasting time on selecting the dishes we asked the waiter to serve the restaurants special delicacy and just after a few minutes of wait we were served this mouth watering chicken dish with Garlic Naan. 😃 Though the look is quiet ordinary the taste wasn’t! I expected a normal chicken gravy but to my surprise this thick gravy included chicken kheema plus chunks of tender juicy chicken; it was a blended dish of Mughlai and Indian cuisine. 😋 The basic taste of the dish was medium spicy but highly delicious...! The main taste enhancers were the secret mix of herbs in the gravy plus the chicken kheema and chicken chunks combo were a googly to my taste buds... I never expected the hill station has these mind blowing dishes to serve apart from the mind blowing views! A must have dish at JK restaurant; will surely come up with the dish’s name once I visit the hill station again 🙈😬😉 . . Anyway they say “What’s there in the name?”

Read moreThe restaurant looked attractive from outside with good ambience, and two colourful model elephants to welcome us. There is sufficient parking space besides the restaurant, even though it is on the main Panchgani Mahabaleshwar road. The restaurant was neat and clean and the service was courteous. They serve veg as well as non-veg food. Though it was around 12 noon and a bit early for lunch, we were welcomed in. We ordered ‘Dingri Mutter Do Pyaza’ (Mushroom Peas in Onion gravy) and Tawa Chapattis. As tandoor was not working they could not serve roti or naan. The vegetable dish was quite tasty, though a bit oily, and the chapattis were hot and fresh. We finished the meal with vegetable raitha. Prices were reasonable. This restaurant is a good place to stop on the way to Mahabaleshwar from Panchgani or vice versa. Maybe next time we will try out their non...
Read moreBest food ever! Simple but well made. Not too spicy but extremely tasty. We ordered the chicken thali ( with komdi vada) and jhunka bhakar (pitla & bhakri. Jhunka is made out of besan and it's extremely delicious. This was like a real good find - a place you may see on #highwayonmyplate show. Loved the for. Ambience is ok but the service is really good. There's not much to drink. We settled for lime soda. Overall...
