A Royal Indian Feast: Chingari Restaurant Review, Le Meridien Resort, Mahabaleshwar

During our recent stay at Le Meridien Resort in Mahabaleshwar, we had the pleasure of dining at Chingari Restaurant, an Indian cuisine gem nestled within the resort. Our dinner experience was nothing short of exceptional, with each dish showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian flavors. We were informed that the Chef was from Rajasthan, and his expertise in traditional Rajasthani cuisine was evident in every dish.

Veg Biriyani The Veg Biriyani was a masterclass in aromatic flavors, with each grain of basmati rice cooked to perfection. The medley of vegetables, including carrots, peas, and cauliflower, added a delightful pop of color and texture. The biriyani was served with a side of raita, which helped to balance the spices.

Dal Makhni The Dal Makhni was a creamy, comforting delight, with the black lentils and kidney beans cooked to a perfect tender consistency. The rich, buttery flavor of the dal was elevated by the subtle spices, making it a standout dish.

Gatta Sabzi with Tandoori Roti The Gatta Sabzi, a traditional Rajasthani dish made with gram flour dumplings, was cooked to perfection and served with a side of Tandoori Roti. The combination was absolute magic, with the soft, fluffy roti pairing beautifully with the flavorful gatta sabzi.

Jalbi with Rabri No Indian meal is complete without a sweet treat, and the Jalbi with Rabri at Chingari Restaurant was the perfect finale to our meal. The crispy, fermented batter of the jalbi was soaked in a sweet, creamy rabri, creating a delightful contrast of textures and flavors.

Service and Hospitality The service at Chingari Restaurant was impeccable, with our server attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to make recommendations. But what truly made our dining experience special was the amazing hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome and comfortable, making us feel like royalty.

Ambiance The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a royal court.

A separate Room for celebrating our Lil one’s 2nd Birthday was made available without and special request. (Early Reservations preferred)

The place is really posh and chic. The entire Staff is really well trained. Being a part of Le Meridien, they have enough open space and parking facilities.

The ambience is good Food is fantastic. Indian Bread quality can be improved.

The in-house Artist(Singer) is apt for creating a special occasion and personal recommendation are also welcomed.

The team were generous enough to celebrate our sons birthday and surprised us with a Personalized Chefs Special Pastry to celebrate the occasion.

Let me start with the booking experience: Vishwanath was extremely warm and had a special table set up for our celebration. He greeted us with soo much enthusiasm, it just felt special. Bhushan took care of our table service, he was very warm and gave us a great experience. Special mention to the Chefs Sufiyaan and Hemant who made our Avadhi food with impeccable taste. Rahul from the bar stirred up a lovely drink. Definitely must mention the live singer Amar, made the evening very enjoyable. Such a warm and hospitable team and great food at Chingari.
