Disappointed with the Decline in Quality and Service – 2 Stars
As someone who has enjoyed Domino’s over the years, it’s disheartening to see how much the overall quality has dropped lately. My recent experience left a lot to be desired, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be a one-time issue anymore.
I ordered a couple of pizzas—one Veggie Paradise and one Chicken Dominator—along with Garlic Breadsticks and Choco Lava Cake. The order arrived within the estimated time, so no complaints there. However, everything beyond the delivery left me quite disappointed.
First, the pizzas were barely warm. Not cold enough to call in a complaint, but definitely not fresh-out-of-the-oven hot. The crusts were dry and chewy, not the soft and fluffy texture I remember enjoying. The Veggie Paradise lacked flavor, and the vegetables seemed like they were just thrown on without any balance. The Chicken Dominator, usually one of my favorites, had less chicken than usual and tasted bland. It was almost as if they were running low on toppings and decided to stretch what little they had across the entire pizza.
The Garlic Breadsticks were perhaps the biggest letdown. They were hard, overbaked, and lacked that signature buttery garlic flavor. The accompanying dip was also less than generous in quantity. It used to be a comfort item, something I looked forward to every time. Now, it just feels like a poor imitation of what it used to be.
The Choco Lava Cake was thankfully decent, but that alone can’t carry the entire meal experience. It had the gooey chocolate center as expected, but even that seemed smaller in portion than I remember.
Customer service was average. I called to ask why the food wasn’t as hot as it should be, and while the representative was polite, all they could say was that the food must have cooled during delivery. There was no real effort to offer compensation or acknowledge the quality concern. I wasn’t looking for a freebie, just a sense of accountability or even a genuine apology.
For the price I paid, the meal was underwhelming. Domino’s used to be a reliable go-to for comfort food, but it seems they’re cutting corners—less cheese, fewer toppings, smaller portions, and lower quality overall. While I understand cost pressures and operational challenges, customers shouldn’t be the ones to suffer as a result.
I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the order was delivered on time, and the packaging was neat. The Choco Lava Cake was still enjoyable, and the app experience for placing the order was smooth. But those few positives aren’t enough to balance out the negatives.
I sincerely hope Domino’s takes customer feedback seriously and works on regaining the consistency and quality it was once known for. Until then, I’ll probably explore other options...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COST, IF POSSIBLE. The service is too slow with only 2 persons working at any given time. Most of the items from menu are not available. Once my entire order got cancelled after waiting for 45 mins because there oven stopped working. Time and again had worst experience at this Domino's store. Need some new vendor to operate this store. Clearly the standards have been lowered.
Update: last week my sister ordered pizza through app around 10:00 and they cancelled it right past 11:00 after waiting for an hour without giving any clarifications. I am seriously asking this vendor to be removed as it is damaging Domino's brand
Update: the quality has seriously deteriorated inspite of several bad reviews. I think Domino's don't understand what Margherita pizza is? The main ingredient, fresh tomato sauce's taste is lagging and so please don't even to bother about the cheese.. they make the pizza in such a haphazard manner that the veggies on my farmhouse pizza were completely raw. It's seems that the heat from oven never reached the veggies. The garlic bread was nothing but just flattened dough. It didn't taste like garlic at all.. even the seasonings on the table have lost the flavour as they have been stacked for a long period of time with exposure to air losing it's aroma. Not just food, their lighting is also bad with constant blinking. The only good thing on our meal was the...
Read moreHey everyone! Just wanted to drop a quick review for the Domino's Pizza outlet at Vision One in Pune.
I've ordered from here a few times now, both for delivery and pickup, and honestly, they're pretty consistent. You know what you're getting with Domino's, and this branch definitely delivers on that front.
The pizzas are usually hot and fresh when they arrive, which is a big plus. My go-to is usually the Farmhouse or the Peppy Paneer, and they've always been loaded with toppings and that classic Domino's crust. The sides, like the Cheesy Jalapeno Dip and the Choco Lava Cake, are always a hit too – can't go wrong with those!
Service-wise, whether I'm picking up or the delivery rider shows up, everyone's generally polite and efficient. They're usually quite quick with the orders, especially during non-peak hours, which is great when you're craving something fast.
If I had to nitpick, sometimes the pizzas can be a tad bit greasy, but that's just part of the Domino's charm for some, right? And occasionally, during super busy times, there might be a slight delay, but nothing major that would ruin the experience.
Overall, if you're in the Vision One area and looking for a reliable Domino's fix, this outlet is a solid choice. It's exactly what you expect, and that's a good thing when you're in the mood for some comfort...
