Somebody suggeted in Nagaon to have meal at Mahesh Lunch Home. Once we reached there we were shocked to see four different Mahesh Lunch Homes side by side and everyone had written old-original on his signboard. Finally we went to the last one while going towards beach. They served very delicious surmai fish fry and prawn masala. Both were tasty but the prawn masala was unique and wonderful. Once we got good taste we continued there. God knows what taste other Mahesh serves. But we checked the menu and price. Others were a little cheaper. But honestly we do not know the taste at other Mahesh luch homes. They said that if you visit there on Saturday-Sunday you get fresher fish compared to other days. Food experience in and around Alibaug has always been a put off.. Having stayed at a lot of places with overpriced and below average tasting food. Visited this place for dinner as the lunch at the hotel we were staying was the usual sad experience. This place though was a mouth watering experience. The hygiene level (this is for the paranoid people ) is pretty good. The quality of food is great as well. The place was clean and the staff welcoming. My kid had her wish fulfilled with steaming hot modak. The pricing is average too and the food quality and taste is great. This place will surely satisfy your taste buds.
