Visited 27th Dec 2024 My Verdict- Don't visit this place, its a waste of time and energy. Never going back there.
Location- approach road is very small, its narrow main market single lane, so taking car inside is impossible unless ur okey to sacrifice your car for some dents/scratches to eat fish. There is no parking at hotel so you need to alight your family and then come back outside and park on main road.
Vibe- Non existent, overcrowded place with only 5 small tables which can accomodate max 2 adults and 2 childrens. Wait time is very long and there is no place to even stand there, forget about sitting in waiting area. Better luck finding shade in nearby shops. It was quite hilarious to see disappointed faces of families reaching this place trusting on reviews.
Food- Everything works if food is good but it was tasteless. Fish rassa was very watery and tasted panchat, seemed like they have added water to accomodate large crowd. It was a nightmare to eat it with rice. Prices are on at par with fish thalis you get in pune but quality is ver poor. Even surmai pieces were so thin that it became very chewy like cold naan.
So my point is why take so much hassle and waste your time, you are more better off to go towards beaches and eat at small khanavad type hotels on-road. We did that and got to ate some amazing food. On way to anjarle beach, before anjarle bus stand on left side you will get a very very small hotel run by a family, they are not listed on google and i guess their name was Ganesh Krupa hotel. Uncle there loves cooking and he treated us with yummy chicken, prawns and fish thali. Chicken, to my surprise, was very tasty which is i thought was...
ย ย ย Read moreA cousin of mine who is local brought me here, he said let me take you to an underdog sea food place,. I was both excited and hungry at the same time. We reached to internal streets of Dapoli bazaar peth, when entered, only 1 seating option was available, though the place is small. Looking at staff and people eating on other tables I was unable to wait untill the food is served, we ordered fish thali, surmail fry, size was moderate but I was super excited to have this meal with bhakti, the first bite brought all my excitement down, the fish was not fresh, the good thing is they got it replaced with chicken Sukha, but they charged separately for the entire order and not as in Thali, the chicken Sukha was ok, with too small pieces of chicken, the bhakri was fresh, we gave a trial to mutton biryani that also didn't go well, the Sukha masala was served beneath biryani rise, which was actually not a biryani.
The good thing is they without any resistance accepted that the fish is not fresh and taken back which means they were already aware of the freshness. All in all it was not an...
ย ย ย Read moreI have visited this place with family (2+1) for seafood as i heard a lot of it from localities as i inquired for seafood special restaurant in dapoli... I was very disappointed as there is no price mentioned on menu card... Since every seafood dish is marked as APS (As per size), there is no control over price they asked...small size paplet they are costing at Rs.300/- (cost in nearby restaurant is around Rs.100/-) and this is rate in pune as well. if you see nearbuy a resturants they provide good seafood with lower cost and taste is also good... I was there for 3 days in dapoli, I have tasted worst ever kolambi masala here... The rassa (curry) they served is literally water with some chilli and no taste for it. it is too expensive. our bill was Rs.1100 and ordered Kolambi masala thali, Prompfret thali and Surmai fry (it was stale fish). I am really disappointed with taste...
Positive side : They provide crab pakodo that is unique and good in taste...
You will get far better restaurant at this cost. felt kind...
