Karolbaug The Dhaba — Restaurant in Maharashtra

One fine evening we decided to visit this place as it is very near to my place. Luckily it was a weekend and one guy was singing ghazals. Ambience and aura of this place is so wonderful that you will fall in love with it. He was singing on demand as well and he also sang the song which we demanded. I just love the place where you can eat and listen to ghazals at the same time. I have been here multiple times and ordered from here as well. Food is good but sometimes you might have to wait due to long queues on weekends. I have tried many items here. They are - Mango Falooda Shake,Mango Lassi,Pina Colada, Water melon slushie, Coffee toffee etc.

The best one was mango falooda it had mango pulp base with chia seeds, falooda and freshly chopped mangoes on the top. It was perfect for my palate as I don't like too much sweet.

I tried Khumb Lasuni Shorba as my soup and I liked it. It had strong flavours of ginger and garlic in it with lots of veggies and mushrooms. In the starters we tried-

Malai Cottage Makhmali Kebab - Cottage cheese based starter, cooked in tandoor and was mild in flavours. Topped with cheese and was served with green chutney and onion based salad.

Tandoori Khumbh - Very spicy and tangy mushrooms roasted in tandoor. I like the flavours. Coming to the main course we ordered

Banjara Veg - Perfect dhaba style mix veg. Very spicy and strong on flavours. The quantity was good and satisfying.

Paneer lacchedar - Grated cottage cheese was cooked in tomato gravy. It was Medium spicy dish. Though I liked banjara veg more than this. They need to improve on flavours.

Daal Makhni - It was superb. Strong in flavours and was so rich and creamy. It was going good with chapatis as well as rice. Consistency was perfect and quantity was good.

Corn Pulao - Long Basmati Rice cooked with corns, cashews and topped with fried onion.

Jalebi with Rabdi - Very thin, hot and crispy jalebis were served with a bowl of rabdi. I liked the jalebis as they were so crisp and mild sweet. Though rabdi had to be more consistent.

Hot Sizzling Brownie - Sizzling Brownie was hard and we were struggling to cut it with a spoon and have a bite. They need to make it more spongy or soft. P.S. I haven't tried non veg here so no comments for that but vegan...

We visited here in lunch hours & first of all the place is located at right place where you can easily go though your office from Hinjewadi Phase-1,2,3 specially for techies, but post 1:00 pm it gets full, so better to there at little early for quick orders. Good built up area, Which give you the feel of Highway Dhabas 🙂

Well spacious parking never make you worry for your vehicle 🛵🚗

Staff members are kind & they talk in a nice way also They greet you, In other words, they know how to treat their guests, which is actually a basic necessity & you love to get that.

Drink menu is present at every table on Beer bottle theme, All you need to have a look and don't wait for menu card offered by waiter 🍾👨‍🍳

We opted Virgin Mojito from mocktails & it was awesome 🍹

Found varieties of starters, multiple snacks options and for that, just one word- Fantastique, Though Best mushroom dish we got over there is- "Crumbed Fried Mushroom" in veg, must try 🍝🍛

In main course again different varieties with all taste.... you actually get all type ie spicy, little sweet or medium 🥘

Matka Chicken & Paneer Da Tikka which we ordered with garlic nan were worth plauditory to ate, It was full of creamy gravy & balanced spices, that's what you need 🍲

Lastly, Main Course reached a li'tle late, though not much but yea, It can be improved.
