Kiki's Restobar, Alibaug — Restaurant in Maharashtra

A weekend trip out of Mumbai led us to Alibaug. While browsing through zomato we came across Kiki's Cafe and Deli. Conveniently located on the Mandwa Jetty of Alibaug, it's a beautiful cafe.

We took a ferry from the Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty. From the jetty it's a mere 5min walk to Kiki's.

They have a beautiful garden outside and a small pathway leads to the cafe. They have a seating inside as well as outside which is sea facing. A sea breeze is constantly flowing.

The Whole Hog :

A breakfast must have, we ordered the whole hog which had 2 eggs cooked our way with baked beans, sausages, hash brown and toast. We got the classic omelette and they were perfectly cooked. Sausages were the best part about it, they toss the sausage in salt and pepper and serve hot. Simple yet delicious.

Basil Chicken :

A herbed chicken is one of my favorite chicken preparations. The chicken was tossed in herbs and spices, basil being the key herb in the dish. It was a tad bit overcooked but didn't taste bad.

Crispy Potato Wedges with Garlic Aioli :

The best potato wedges I have had till date. They were supremely crisp, could taste the spices in the outer layer. The garlic aioli served alongside the wedges made the perfect partner to the potatoes. Light and creamy, the garlic didn't overpower the wedges. A must order dish here.

Honey Glazed Chicken :

Sweet and spicy is all that is needed to describe this dish. Pieces of chicken tossed in honey gave a very distinct flavor to it. Again, a bit disappointed with the overcook of the chicken.

Amritsari Chole with Laccha Paratha :

Never thought will eat Chole Paratha in a cafe like this, but a friend ordered it and I had to try. They were more of black chana than chole, cooked in garam masala and tomatoes, I loved it. The tangy taste made the flavors dance in my mouth. The lacchha paratha served along with it was good.

Jalapeno and Black Olives Pizza :

This one is for the vegetarians. The pizza base was very well cooked and the cheese was gooey and stretchy on top. The jalapeno and olives on top were not at all over cooked.

Harissa Chicken Pizza :

For the non vegetarians, we got the harissa chicken pizza. Chicken was tossed in harissa and sauce and placed on top of the pizza. Again, the base and the cheese both were cooked to perfection.

Desserts --

Mini Salted Caramel Tart :

They have a few desserts at display and we had the option of choosing from them. I chose the Mini Salted Caramel Tart. It's the cutest tart I have have seen. They take the word "mini" to a completely new level. The taste was so amazing that I ate 2 of them all by myself. The tart base was crisp and brown while the salted caramel stuffing inside was gooey and soft. The perfect combination. A real must try here.

Mocktails --

Nojito ( yes that's the name, not a spelling mistake ) -- Fresh Lime Juice with crushed ice. A refreshing sumner drink.

Mandarin Mojito -- This one was one my favorite here. The mandarins add a different touch to the classic mojito.

Cappuccino -- Classic Cappuccino. No description needed.

Hot Chocolate -- Again a classic hot chocolate.

Pink Peru Cooler -- This one is my second favorite from the mocktails available here. The guava taste made me really refreshed in the hot day.

They also have pitchers of selected mocktails available, which makes it perfect if you are a big group (or on a juice diet 😂)

A fusion cafe, conveniently located at the jetty wherein we can make a day trip out of it, I think Kiki's Cafe is the best thing that has happened to Alibaug after the recreation of the Mandwa Jetty. A must visit place if you want a day...

Ever heard of being lucky all the time or ever felt like one lucky fellow on a row. Well I've been one since long and it seems that things are going a lot my way now.

We had an outing planned for alibaug for 2 days and from the time we reached this city never stopped to amaze us with it's best food options and it's soothing taste.

A wide variety of cuisines with a taste worth remembering for every cuisine. And the restaurants here are worth spending your money on food.

Kiki's is quite a highlighted restaurant as it's the location is a hot-spot for travellers and most of hungry travellers

Once you get out of your jetty and start climbing the bridge and walking on the same, after some distance you'll see pile of restaurants passing by you and kiki's will be one of those

Though a one to notice

Well we've been hungry after a journey so we went in for a good lunch to silence my appetite and to start my trip with a great experience

Ambience is quite simple yet innovative and the location is very much attractive and unique as you have quite a views from outside seating

Comfortable seats and vibrant sunlight makes you feel like you're seating somewhere on a seashore enjoying your food and drinks

After going through the menu we've decided to go for some Mocktails to let go of the hot and humid temperature. And what we had is,

Pink Peru Cooler Strawberry Daiquiri Mandarin Mojito Cool Blue

Of these the last two are with drooling and satisfying.

And well I'll recommend going for the last two once as the contents went very much hand in hand

While having Mocktails we went for some snacks items,

Egg Smash Butter Chicken Fries Loaded Chilli Cheese Sandwich Chicken Tikka Egg Roll

Well i loved the sandwiches specially and the fries too

The butter chicken gravy on the fries is quite a satisfying taste

Roll was such huge and the full of loaded chicken and egg.

We also had a Smoked Sausage and Onion pizza which was quite an interesting taste and the sausages were such soft and tasty went very well with the thin crust

Actually we were in love with the beverages here so thought of ordering some milkshakes and freakshakes also and we went for,

Cold Coffee Brownie Freakshake

Loved both of them, the taste, the blend, the thickness and the flavours everything were as perfect as it needed to be.

Also the desserts, we had a lot of these also which included

Cookie Dough Apple Pie With Ice Cream Kiki's Brownie Sundae

Apple pie was such delicious and drooling and also the sunday was very much satisfying

Overall the experience was awesome and one of those best experiences of the trip and we started on a good note finally.
