Lucky Cafe and Bakery in Panchgani is a charming spot that transports you back in time with its delightful retro vibe. This century-old Parsi restaurant is steeped in history, offering an authentic experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. Located conveniently in the main market, it’s an ideal stop for anyone exploring the town.

I tried their famous Irani tea and bun maska, both of which were absolutely delightful. The tea was perfectly brewed with a comforting, rich flavor, while the bun maska was fresh, soft, and generously buttered—a true Parsi specialty that did not disappoint. I also indulged in their chicken burger, which was simple yet flavorful, reflecting the cafe's commitment to quality.

What adds to the charm is the affordability; prices are refreshingly reasonable, making it accessible to all. The laid-back ambiance, coupled with friendly service, makes this place a must-visit for anyone looking to savor some authentic Parsi flavors. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, Lucky Cafe and Bakery promises a nostalgic experience. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit to Panchgani.

Highly recommended for a taste of history...

I have been a regular to this place since 1994,when I had my 1st job in Sanjeewan Vidyalaya in Panchgani. In the evening I use to have veg burger with tea and much more. The speciality of this cafe is that the taste of its tea, which is the same as it was 27.7 years ago. I love this place. People from every walks of life visit this place. And to be very precise, nos of tourists who are well versed with this cafe, when they visit Panchgani with their families from Mumbai specially, they don't forget to visit this cafe. It's breads are also of very good qualities. I think, everyone must visit this cafe once in life time. Long live...

Went here after 20 yrs.. was truly looking forward to the Omletts. However was surprised to find that they've taken to adding plastic bits and cockroachs to their previously delicious Omletts. Even more horrifyingly they have taken their no wastage policy to new heights - we observed another patron's left over bread slices being returned to the bread bag - supposedly to be thrown out eventually... but given their interesting choice of ingredients... who is say where these "saved" slices ended up.

Who ever is at the helm of this once iconic establishment needs to give it more attention... very unfortunate to see a legacy being...

The best place to eat near Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar. You will find fantastic food with great taste and affordable rates. For Non-Veg lovers, don't forget to try the Club Burger. The best burger you will ever have. For veg lovers, try cheeze burger. Basically, food tastes delicious and this place is worth trying at Mahabaleshwar. This opens at 8 am in the morning and shuts around 1:30pm. Opens at around 4pm in the evening at shuts at 8pm. Also, chai lovers can try chai and bun maska. The hot bun with added butter is mouth watering. Other items included:- Hot dog Salami Burger

A perfect Irani shop on a very busy street of Panchgani. Order anything, and you won’t be disappointed. The bun-maska & chai combination is, as usual, the best. The cheese omelette, scrambled egg are good. Don’t leave the cafe without trying the tea and the chicken roll. The cafe opens at 9:00 and, immediately gets crowded. Amazing thing is, there are people, patiently, waiting outside as the wait is worth it. On you way back, you can carry cream roll, doughnuts, toast, khaari, cookies, etc. Inspite of being full, the staff is humble and grounded.
