Mahasagar Orchid Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Maharashtra

This is the right place if you want to take a break while traveling and looking for clean restrooms. I've given 2 star only for the said reason otherwise the food experience wasn't good at all. We ordered for rice, dal tadka and butter milk. Dal tadka was smelling bad and we complained to the person who was serving but he said (without checking himself) that everything is fresh. We called the supervisor, he tasted and declared it spoiled. He ordered to take it back to kitchen. We waited for new daal to come. Rice were also stale and hard to chew as if it is reheated after refrigeration. After a while the supervisor came to inform us that yellow daal is not available, only black is there. When asked about freshness, he admitted honestly that it was cooked yesterday! We then ordered a aaloo matar vegetable to eat with rice and kept our fingers crossed! After this whole episode they even didn't apologized for what happened. I know we cannot expect freshness from such roadside eateries but at least daal rice should have been freshly cooked. Frustrated staff and poor service. When asked to change the dirty table cloth, the server and captain started quarreling amongst themselves in front of us. They replaced only the used forks and spoons and left the unused ones from previous customer as is 😱 we would have ended up using them if I did not catch this and asked them to replace all of them. Even the roadside tapris dont do such cheap stunts.

Staff tries to dissuade you from the much talked about Gazebo seating which actually is a couple of covered seating areas in a corner which has absurd cover fee (3k for 5 people or something similar). Steer clear from it, not worth at all.

Food is average, they serve half portions which is good if you want to explore varieties. The quantity and servings are inconsistent, it seemed one was full while the other was half. The order was so delayed that we decided to finish what was served and get...
