MasaKha, Narhe!
Masakha is located in the main chowk of Narhe and is easily visible from the main road. Masakha restaurant serves North India, Chinese and Continental Cuisines. It has a simple yet elegant ambience and has lots of Mango and Coconut tree plantations in the premises. The seating is comfortable. The restaurant has specialtiy in sea food preparations and can be easily guessed from the name of the restaurant itself. I was invited over here for the food tasting session.
We were welcomed with a cool and refresing litchi based drink (non alcoholic).
Mocktails:
We tried array of refresing and impressive mocktails like Kiwi Apple Punch, Mango Blast, Strawberry Martini, Kiwi Martini, Blue Frog, Mango Blast Strawberry martini, Kiwi Martini, and Mango blast were my personal favourites.
Soups:
Mix Sea Food: The soup had small piece of meat of various seafood and was superb in taste. It had finely chopped garlic and green chillies, hint of black pepper; it was thick in consistency and had a nice and spicy after taste. #Highlyrecommended Lemon Corainder: This was again a nice option for vegetarian people. Finely chopped veggies along with refresing combination of Lemon and coriander did impress me a lot. A soup which will definitely rejuvenate you instantly. #Highlyrecommended
Starters:
Murg Dhania Boat: The dish had perfectly cooked boneless chicken pieces marinated in assorted spices along with yogurt and coriander. It was medium spicy in taste and did hit the right note. The dish was granished with fried coriander and was truly delicious. #Highlyrecommended
Chicken Ghee Roast: A mangalorean delicacy which was prepared spot on. The chicken was was well marinated with spicy and slightly tangy ground masala and it had a dintinctive taste. #Highlyrecommended
Gosht Boti Kebab: I skipped this mutton dish but those who had were truly delighted to have it.
Surmai Tawa Fry: Two big sized surmai pieces were shallow fired along with ground spices coating and was medium spicy in taste. The fish was nicely cooked and was good in taste, the Cabbage and grated coconut based salad which was served along with it was also good in taste. #Recommended

Chicken Maratha: The gravy was slightly thin in consistency and was done in ground spices with tender and juicy chicken pieces. It was medium spicy in taste and was full of flavours. #Recommended.
Desserts:
Gajar Ka Halwa & Sizzling Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: I must say one of the best gajar ka Halwa which I have had. The In House prepared gajar ka halwa was low on sweetness level and was topped with dry fruits. It was served hot. A must have at Masakha. The sizziling browie which was also done nicely was over shadowed because of the Gajar ka halwa.
Overall: Service was prompt and restaurant was hygienic. None of the sea food dishes had the fishy smell which is a really challenge for all the restaurants serving sea food and I must say Masakha scores full marks in it. The rates are pretty reasonable. Quantity of all the dishes is also good. We tried different dishes in our session and I must say all were brilliantly done right from the starters till desserts. A must visit place for Veg as well as...

Masakha, what a sorted name!! For those who don't understand Marathi, Masa is Fish and Kha is Eat. So basically the name means eat fish. The name tells about their specialty as well, it is a seafood specialty restaurant.
The restaurant is located on Pune - Satara highway, near Deccan Pavillion, Vithal Kamat chauk.
The ambiance is good, simple and nice. The restaurant is very spacious and very green. The outdoor section is full of trees and plants, that impressed me a lot. There is no AC but the place is so windy that one might not need an AC. They have good service and that makes the experience even better.
Let's get to the food now. We tried a couple of appetizers and mains, listing them below with my take on it.
Murgh Dhania Boat
Succulent chicken marinated in green masala, as the name suggests it was dominated with dhania that is coriander. I loved the taste, due use of green masala it had a kind of freshness in it. Kebabs were medium spicy and marination was generous which enhanced the taste. The kebabs were topped with deep fried coriander which gave it a crunch factor.
Surmai Tawa Fry
The freshness of the fish is must, you can not hide the odor of stale fish however you try. I love seafood and surmai tops my list in seafood and you should not mess with my fish. Here fish was fresh and it was marinated with basic ingredients. Salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, and few other basic ingredients. It kept the beauty of fish intact. Perfect pan-fried texture made it even more beautiful.
Prawn Malwani Masala
If you ask any seafood lover what they like the most in seafood, they will rank prawn in their top three and I'm one of them.
Malwani masala was regional spices of Konkan mixed with coconut and made into a paste form. Perfectly cooked prawns were tossed into this masala and were served with coriander garnishing.
Crab Butter Garlic
One of the best and most surprising dish of the night. The crab meat was cooked in butter garlic sauce. I was expecting a whole crab in butter garlic sauce but they served just the crab meat. I took my first bite and I was dreaming, it had a creamy texture and had a perfect hit of garlic. Brilliant preparation!!
Chicken Tandoori
A good tandoori, properly marinated and perfectly charred. I liked it. I don't know what to write about tandoori chicken, as we all are familiar with it.
Chicken Ghee Roast
A very good chicken preparation. Marinated chicken was roasted with lots of ghee. The use of ghee gives it a unique flavor and aroma.
After stuffing ourselves with appetizers we moved on to mains.
Goan Prawn Curry
Crunchy Prawns bathing tasty curry. Curry was yellow in color and it contained coconut majorly. It was mild in spices and but flooded with flavors. They managed to get that coastal very well.
Chicken Maratha
A spice semi thick gravy very high on masala. Chicken was nicely cooked and had accquired the taste of gravy.
Rara Gosht Masala
I was so stuffed that I could not dare to try it but the foodie in me was not ready to settle so I just tried one spoon of it. It was good that,s what I can say as I didn't eat it.
We ate all the gravies with neer dosa. Dosa was soft and very thin and eat a neer dosa in maximum four bites. I would suggest eating all the curries with neer dosa as does not tamper with the taste of the dish.
We finished the dinner with some desserts
We tried,
Gajar Halwa
Casata
Shahi Tukda
I liked gajar halwa the most, Casata was the one we get any regular ice cream shop and shahi tukda was little extra sweet for me.
I had a good meal at the Masakha, I would like to thank Swapnil for inviting us and being a good host and Mr. Ajinkya and team Masakha for...
