Visited here on 14th March2021 proper lunch time at around 13:30 hrs. The place was full and could see ppl standing beside tables waiting to grab the table as soon as the one’s eating finish. (Yea, what a pitiful sight) Imagine the feeling of the ones eating their lunch while some stranger family standing right beside the table constantly seeing if you’ve finished eating!
When asked one of the waiters, he said “I don’t know, the place is full, just stand beside the tables you see are finishing their meal, and grab the table soon after they get up” RIDICULOUS!
Poor management : 0/5
Luckily 15 mins later we got a place to sit. We were looking to place the order, and called for the waiter ( young bearded guy) he just nodded and said no! 🙄 Then after a few more tries another guy came in And we managed to place the order. Just three options, surmai thali, prawn Thali, Pomfret Thali. WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR OUR ORDER. Just 3 waiters to serve the crowd of approx 80-100 ppl, and I could see their plight!
TASTE : 1/5 This seafood restaurant is for those who don’t eat seafood at all. If you’re from the coastal regions of Maharashtra, don’t head here. The taste is below average. I’m from a coastal town of Maharashtra and Seafood is staple food for us. So I know what Maharashtrian seafood palate is like. This place serves below average taste when it comes to seafood. Let alone the fact that it’s expensive. No extra Bhakri! Only one per Thali.
Surmai piece was broken and only half a piece was served in the plate. Pomfret served was burnt and seemed like the oil is being used many many times, so could taste the burnt oily flavour.
PLEASE AVOID THIS place. Look for...

Food Taste The restaurant offers only thali options. We ordered the veg thali and pomfret thali, but neither lived up to expectations.
Veg Thali: Disappointing and not worth the price. It lacked variety and quality. A good veg thali should include paneer, but this one offered patta gobi (cabbage) and ussal, which were poorly cooked and lacked flavor. And price for thali are too expensive.
Pomfret Thali: The pomfret fry was overcooked and burnt, ruining its taste. The fish curry was bland and failed to impress. Overall, the food quality was subpar, and the flavors didn’t match the hype. We chose this restaurant based on YouTube reviews, but it seems those videos were likely paid promotions and do not reflect reality.
Service The service was quite good. The staff was attentive and polite, which was the only redeeming factor of our visit.
Parking Parking is very limited, with only a small area available for vehicles. It might be challenging to find a spot during peak hours.
Location The location is inconvenient, as reaching the restaurant involves navigating through a very narrow lane that allows only one car to pass at a time. This can be stressful, especially during busy hours.
Final Thoughts If you’re planning to visit this restaurant, I strongly recommend reconsidering. There are better dining options in the same area that offer superior food, ambience, and...
Read moreThis is one of the most respected eatery in Murud. Had heard about it for lot many years but everytime I visited Murud , could not eat here due to huge rush. Every tourist seems to be waiting to eat here. Yet in the beginning of corona endemic as tourists dwindled I was in Murud and got a chance to eat here. I was among the first few customers of the evening. The place is huge . Spread on at least two acres very close to the beach and sitting arrangement is in the coconut orchard giving it a great feel of the Kokan. There is indoors sitting as well but may be it will be preferred only during monsoon. The eatery is famous for its sea food . Yet I started with an order of chicken sukka , as this is the dish that tells you a lot about the food preparation. It was served quickly and tasted very nice. Fresh chicken mildly spicy and cooked thouroughly. Next my order was Surmai thali. Again the fish was choicest and curry was simply finger licking . Bhakari were soft and fresh. Solkadhi made it easy to digest. The staff is very well mannered and take a pride in the service. The outdoors were kept mosquito free by a small fire spreading smoke . Overall I had a very great experience and the place is worth everything I had read and...
