Its a really nice place. And yes they are directly compete with kinara and its obvious cause both are side by side. So i will write in comparison with kinara only. Lets start from the ambience and in that factor it is not having any competition with kinara.. Kinara is way better in ambience. If you want photos for insta go to kinara. If you want to enjoy ghazal night over to old movie song go to kinara. And if love to here old movie songs yiu can choose sheetal over kinara and yes they have live music too.. And yes here sheetal have advantage for karaoke. You can go with friends and ebjoy karaoke.. So thats the plus point. Staff and service in both places is same. Both are friendly and yes littlebit slow service is expected when they are taking care of quality. Lets talk about business... So the taste wise i love both the places both offers good quality of food rich in taste. Yes i haven't visited sheetal more frequently compare to kinara ( where once i was having bad experience may b due to cook availability). In price comparison i find sheetal is way costlier than the kinara. Which i dont think they deserve to charge that much. So obvious you will get less rush in sheetal which gives you advantage for getting seats. Which is difficult in kinara. So my point is in kinara you will have to wait at least for 15-30 min for getting your seat. Where in sheetal its always available. About drinks i think kinara wins here cause sheetal actually nothing to offer other than plain regular branded drinks. You will get everything but no mocktails are available. So at the end if you are looking for private kind of cozy place and want to enjoy hard drinks with quality food sacrificing perfect Instagram click and of course ready to spend some extra bucks go to sheetal da dhaba. But if you are looking for perfect gazal night with perfect insta click, looking for mocktail options too and ready to wait for littlebit and don't want to save some your hard earn money then no doubt...
Read moreThe dhabha is situated on the old Mumbai Pune highway just before the diversion towards Karla caves or just after Kinara dhabha. The place is split two parts, one is for outside seating and other is covered seating.
Covered seating is not a huge space but does have good seating capacity for families who might not prefer to sit in open. Has a projector which shows matches which you can enjoy
Open seating is spaced out and has good ambience when you walk towards it, however it has lot of mosquitoes if you sit for longer time. There is a small water source (not sure what it does). They have big screen for outside seating where you can watch matches.
Ample parking at the site. It's right next to highway but has good space to park. Neat parking space. Be aware of a U-turn one has to take if you are headed towards Mumbai since cars approach at high speed from Pune side.
Food is ok in taste. Felt bit bland. Chicken tandoori was having less salt and was not cooked properly it felt. Quantity for a full tandoori was good Green chutney provided was cold and somehow didn't give that feel of gren chutney which one is used to Paya soup was good Chicken crispy was supposed to be bit spicy, however to our disappointment it was avg cooked and didn't taste Vow
Drinks are available and will cost you few bucks extra than what you would normally give.
I would not rate my exp vow for the dhabha on food or drinks, cost wise it's slightly on the higher side. There are much better dhabhas one can visit.
You can come with family or friends to enjoy the most
Keep your mask on, enjoy your food, follow covid...
Read moreWell I had visited this resto quite a long time back (prob. 8-9 years ) that time it was a traditional punjabi resto and i still remember our group had throughly enjoyed the food. But now even though the restaurant has been modernized with good interiors the food taste has detoriated and the service was truly disappointing. We are not at all satisfied with the vegetarian dish and it took almost 25 mins to serve. There was just 1 staff to take order from I guess 10-12 tables, constant swearing coming from kitchen and rest staff running here & there. It is very important for resto of this size to have adequate staff. I've been to kinara , sunny before but never faced this issue. And the cheery on top was , there came a group of 7-8 people and since it was v late (3.30pm) and their table was being ready from the last guest, they request the owner (who was present there that time) to take their order atleast but the owner just shouted at them to have some patience. Lol that was outright hilarious, I've never saw an owner shout at guest, we understand the stress of running a resto but shouting at guest that is a big NO. Anyways we paid the bill and while leaving saw the sad and angry faces of the guest who left from there. Pls avoid visiting here there are many other...
