Hotel Kailas Sarovar, formerly known as Hotel Purva, is a hidden gem located at the corner of Karjat-Chowk Road and Chowk Phata Old Mumbai Pune Highway. It is the perfect stop for breakfast on your way to Karjat. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with ample parking available.

We had a morning breakfast here and were impressed with the quality and taste of the food. We highly recommend trying the Medu Vada Sambar, Idli Sambar, Dahi Vada, and Misal Pav - a must-try for misal lovers. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable.

The restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, making it a great place to visit with family. The service is quick, but you may have to wait during rush hours. The ambiance is nice, with a variety of Maharashtrian food available.

For those who prefer less spicy food, be sure to let the staff know in advance. The hotel is located opposite Fortis Hospital at GMLR Mulund, and is a popular destination for those seeking delicious dishes like pav bhaji.

Overall, Hotel Kailas Sarovar is a wonderful hotel that offers great food and comfortable accommodations. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for exploring the area's attractions. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to...

To start with food it was good but way too costly not worth the amount spent Secondly the staff is very unprofessional we asked for water as the climate was too hot we asked he can provide us couple of ice cubes but he directly said no we cant serve ice cubes After that we said nothing and then we had a baby of 2.5yrs so we asked for daal chawal grinded in mixer the waiter again said a direct no we said him we have a baby and she doesnt bite so we just need some grinded daal chawal he just said no rudely and left So i decided to talk to the owner he said how is it possible to mix in mixer we were like we have our mixer along let us do it he is no ill get something done Later on the waiter arrives with it and says he has grinded it which wasnt even 1% grinded in mixer

In short if you have a baby along do not come here and after spending extra amount for food you get no respect here So come and get insulted is their way of service

THIS PLACE IS NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED DO...

We were heading towards Karjat and this property is on the way to Karjat village. We stopped here for our breakfast at around 9:30 am. We were attending in couple of minutes. Ordered idli wada mixed with dip in sambar, masala cheese dosa, sada cheese dosa and masala uttapa. We actually wanted to order rawa masala rawa uttapa but it been said to us by waiter that it is not available right now. Finally our breakfast come. Dosa was crispy but tasteless. Uttapa was so badly made that it was feeling like eating rice paste and totally tasteless again. In Medu wada and idli mix dip in sambar medu wada seems to be fried one day earlier. No softness and freshness at all. Sambar quality was not up to the standard as they charge you for that dish.

Upon that the security who started running after our car for tips was unexpected dream. Very Very poorly managed restaurant. This is the only restaurant in this area that's why people stop here and waste their money in...

"Disappointing Food Experience at Kailash Sarovar" I had high expectations while stopping by Kailash Sarovar on Matheran Road, but unfortunately, the food quality was far from satisfactory. The idlis we ordered were not fresh; they were cold, dense, and lacked the soft texture you’d expect. It felt like they had been prepared hours earlier and simply reheated. The misal pav, a dish that’s typically bursting with flavors, was bland and lacked the spicy kick and richness that make it enjoyable. Even the pav wasn’t fresh, which added to the disappointment. Overall, the food seemed poorly prepared and not up to the mark for a place on such a popular tourist route. While the ambiance and location may seem inviting, the quality of the food really needs improvement. It’s hard to justify stopping here for a meal when there are better options available nearby. If you’re traveling this way, I’d recommend skipping this spot unless they improve their food standards.

I recently dined at Kailash Sarovar in Karjat and would like to share my experience. The Cheese Cube Masala was quite good, but I found that the other vegetarian dishes were overly spicy, which might not suit everyone’s taste. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restrooms was concerning; they were not up to standard and lacked proper hygiene. I also noticed some insects around, which detracted from the overall dining experience. I hope these issues are addressed to improve the quality of service and dining environment. Delay in service too.

Food was good. It could be more better That blend of Maharashtrian spices I felt was missing I had missal pav, sheera, idli, medu wada, and one plate poha It is Self service. They don’t provide water as well. Right at the entrance of the hotel there is this Pan centre where people smoke which is very annoying especially if you are a non-smoker I am leaving down couple of photos that I took when I visited Obviously when you drive for such a long time then definitely this is a place on highway that can add some relief to your hunger
