Situated on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, just before climbing the Ghats.
Quite a huge place, with plenty of cars parked most/all the time. Has a lot of parking space, but at times have to drive slowly, in the parking lot, to allow a car to back out so you can get a parking place. But by and large parking space is available.
There is a big Petrol/Diesel Station, with many pumps, as you enter, so if need be can tank up. Can also go to the food court, finish and drive back to the petrol pump, in case you missed it on entry.
The food court is pretty big, not air-conditioned. Plenty of seating arrangements, which is full most of the time. Have to move around to find a place to sit (better do this before ordering food). There are also tables available which you stand around. Variety of foods available, fast food Macdonalds,Subway, KFC, suprisingly found Theobroma there too, Indian..absolute fresh out of the pan wada pav plus a whole lot of other foods, Snacks, juices, cold drinks, Teas/Coffees. Have to line up, pay, wait and when ready take away.
I didn't see any ramp or slope so not sure if thevplace is wheel chair accessible, may have to carry one up or down, but steps are mot many and ok in height.
There is a toilet for both gents and ladies. The gents is ok, with the sheer volume of people coming it may be difficult to keep it absolutely clean. Could use the urinal, a bit smelly but ok, at least I could relieve myself. Didn't try to touch anything. Can wash hand in water and there is a hand dryer near the enterance/exit.
Near the enterance to the toilets books are sold at rebate. Didn't check what type.
Place for children to run about, but wouldn't advise it, as it is crowded and people move about with food and food trays, may bump into them.
There are people who clear away the remains and "clean" the tables, at least wipe it, but dont put your eatables or tableware directly on the tables.
Urgently needed a pair of earphones for someone who had lto isten to work, because we were playing on the car stereo. Suprisingly found one here in one of the shops on the outside ( Boat, not sure if it is an original) It's working pretty well till now.
For us it was like a family meal at the starting of our holiday together and it was a...

The Foodway on Mumbai Pune Expressway, just after the first toll plaza while traveling from Mumbai to Pune, is a hidden gem for food enthusiasts. Though the approach road may be a bit tricky with some rough patches and lacking proper signs, the culinary experience awaiting you makes it all worthwhile.
Upon entering, remember to keep left after the toll and then turn left towards the first petrol pump to discover two food courts. The first one is a breath of fresh air with its modern appeal and an impressive array of well-known branded food options. From Starbucks to KFC and many more, you're spoiled for choice. The newness of this court adds to the excitement and the convenience of finding popular food chains in one place is fantastic.
On the other hand, the second food court is not as appealing as it mostly caters to bus stops and lacks the variety and ambiance of the first one. So, it's an easy decision to head straight to the Foodway if you want a satisfying meal experience.
One thing that stands out at The Foodway is its diversity in food choices, catering to every palate. Whether you're a fan of international brands or local delicacies, there's something here for everyone.
The hygiene-conscious will be pleased to know that the washrooms are neat and tidy, which is always a crucial aspect for a food court. The ample seating space allows you to comfortably enjoy your meal and take a break during your journey.
Overall, The Foodway is a wonderful stopover on the Mumbai Pune Expressway. Despite the initial hiccups of reaching it due to the tricky approach road and limited signage, the delightful food options, and pleasant dining experience make it a must-visit for travelers. So, next time you're on the road and craving a tasty bite, consider making a pit stop at The Foodway. You won't be...
