There are not many eateries in Guhagar of which you can write home about. Most homestays that offer lodging ask you to give them atleast a four hour notice; that too, if they decide on a given day to oblige you with either breakfast or dinner. Hence, in such a place with so little choice, you cannot help appreciate this nice little place to serve you meals, regardless of whether it is lunch time or dinner. This is a proper restaurant with one side serving drinks (Bar) and the other for families. Rest assured that the inconveniences from the bar section don't spill over into the family . Drinks are not allowed in the family section , plain and simple. Food is quite nice. We had a veg thali here and were quite pleased with the quality and portions. Also the Chinese (desi) dishes were quite appetising. One down side I felt , was the time lag between order of food and the service . It took me 2/3 reminders before I finally had food on my table . But, one can live with that considering the protocols associated with food deliveries outside. I had ordered chicken tikka gravy and Naan and the quantity was good enough for two, may be even three. Outside there is ample parking space and a few shops next door sell useful nick nacks and essentials. If you are in Guhagar for a quite beach vacation, this is a place you can frequently...

Located in the core market area of Guhagar, this place is an absolute gem for sea food lovers. A one stop to calm down ones cravings for Konkani Coastal Cuisine!

Been to this wonderful place with friends and was totally satisfied. As we were in the group, so decided to try different things individually. Firstly would like to say about POMPLET THAALI (Fish Thaali) which had an aromatic texture of fish served with gravy, chapati, rice and solkadhi. Another menu comes up tickling your taste buds is CHICKEN THAALI and trust me if you gonna customise it with वडे (Wade: dumpling like item made up of mixture of flour) it will satisfy your hungry soul to the fullest. Its totally upto you, whether you wanna have Chapati, Roti or Wade. And last but not the least, VEG THAALI too was delicious. It comes up with 2 types of gravies, Daal, Sweet, Papad-Pickle as usual. To be honest Chicken gravy & Daal were the table topper.

Overall experience here at Lagoon was fantastic. Highly recommended for family and friends who are visiting here in Guhagar.

Talking about the ambience, it is pleasant and soothing with relaxing vibe. The staff here is highly professional and dedicated.

Food # Lovely! We tried both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Panner, Dal tadka and mix veg was good. Kombadi Wada thali was awesome and more than sufficient for one person (four wadas plus rice)! Sol kadhi was tasty.

Ambience# the place is little cramped for a big group (we were 12!) but they could manage, so no complaints. Since it also has a bar on the other side, navigating to the washrooms was not easy always. However, they have kept ladies washroom on the family dining side, which was thoughtful.

Cleanliness# Tables were clean and the cutlery offered was clean as well. Washrooms were also fine and had enough soap and hand towels.

Service# It was fairly quick for most of the order as Kombadi Wada needed some time, which is acceptable. The staff however looked agitated with kids on the table, which I discount as it was late in the afternoon (closing time for the restaurant) and probably he himself was hungry...
