I recently had a very disappointing experience after ordering the Mutton Malvani Handi from this restaurant. The dish was overwhelmingly spicy—so much so that it completely ruined our dining experience. We were expecting a rich, flavorful dish typical of Malvani cuisine, but instead, the spice level was unbearable and masked the actual taste of the mutton. I’ve tried Mutton Handi at many places, but this was by far the worst I’ve ever had.
When we raised our concern with the owner, instead of listening or offering any solution, he brushed us off with an arrogant comment: “This is not like Brahman bhojan.” This response was not only rude but also dismissive and unprofessional. A good restaurant should value honest feedback and aim to improve, not insult its customers for sharing their opinions.
We weren’t expecting bland food—we appreciate well-balanced spice and authentic flavor—but this dish was just poorly made. Overall, the taste, quality, and especially the customer service left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal or respectful service. There are many other restaurants that serve better food and treat their customers with far...

We tried Mutton malvani handi, we barely got 7-8 pieces filled with oil and over spicy masala, which were 70% bones which clearly indicated they use left over mutton. Secondly the gravy was water with unbearable spice.
For client satisfaction they should have an option to adjust spice levels, which they straight away denied.
About ambience, complete floor was filled with used tissues flying everywere because the fans were running at full speed. Some leftover bones under table made ambience more worse.
For those who just eat eggs, pls note all kind of egg prepration done in chicken gravy (for information)
Overall, we had read a lot about this restaurant and eagerly waited to visit here. Today we got an opportunity totally ruined our experience. SO THE PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE HYPE.

Visited Vilas Lunch Home during a short stop in Jejuri, and overall, the experience was just average. I ordered a mutton thali, and while the food was okay, it wasn’t anything special in terms of taste or presentation.
⏱️ Service Experience: Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes, but even after requesting them to serve it faster since I had a train to catch, I still had to wait nearly 30 minutes. This delay was quite stressful and disappointing, especially since I had clearly mentioned the time constraint.
🍽️ Food Quality: The thali was average in taste – not bad, but not something I would return for. Portions were reasonable, but the overall experience was impacted by the delay.
🏠 Ambience: The place is clean and has a typical local-lunch-home vibe, good for a casual meal if you have plenty of...
