THE Samco — Restaurant in Malappuram

I recently visited this place to try out their famous biriyani and it surely lived up to the reputation! 😋

🍛 Food • I ordered both Beef Biriyani 🥩 and Chicken Biriyani 🍗. While both were delicious, I personally enjoyed the beef biriyani more – rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. • The biriyani is served on a banana leaf 🌿, which added a traditional touch that I really loved. • Side dishes like achar (pickle) and chutney complemented the meal beautifully. • They’re also quite popular for their porotta and beef curry 🥘, which I’d definitely recommend trying on the next visit.

🏢 Ambience Good and comfortable. They have both A/C and non-A/C seating areas, making it convenient depending on your preference.

🚗 Parking Parking was the only downside 😕. They don’t have a proper system, so we had to use a nearby pay-and-park facility.

👨‍🍳 Service Service was quick and efficient ⏱️, which made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

Samco used to be one of the best restaurants in uphill and downhill combined, however they have dropped thier standards very low, they don't even smash their porotta, prices are high, quantity and quality is super bad. Just had porotta and beef yesterday was very much disappointed, been eating from Samco ever since I started eating out but always had good experience and have recommended proudly now it has changed, I'm never recommending this to anyone. Beef fry was over powered with masala and it was undercooked (undercooked beef is okay in terms of eating), only good thing was the tea, Tea was classic and even had two teas. What frustrates me the most is when I told the supplier dude about the porotta being dead inside, he said all porottas are like that. I notified cashier about the beef being undercooked that ikka said its because it was on the stow since 9am! (isn't it supposed be overcooked if It was on the stow since 9am?) however pretty disappointed with the food and their excuses. Giving 2 stars...
