Well kept park but needs a few improvements. Looks a bit dry and varieties of plants could be more. The washrooms are neatly built but the gents section is closed. The stairway is long and is shaded with trees. Good number of visitors in the evenings but in the noon times, it is considerably small. There is an entry fee of Rs.10 per head, but it is worth it.

It's very nice have a walk with either your friends or with your niece. If you are with your family, if there are old parents or small kids with you it's better to skip the steps and go directly to the top. ( There's a way with parking lot) The vibe we feel while an evening walk there, is of course unbeatable.

Kottakkunnu park It Is located in the heart of malapuramtown.as the name shown it is on the top of a mountain. There are two entrance is there to reach. One is from mancheri towards ksrtc stand and after that we can reach the parking area downside of the mountain. The other way is to reach to the top of the mountain in our vehicle. This park is maintained under malappuram district tourism. It is one of the famous picnic spot in malappuram.the place is witnessed many historical moments. The sunset view from here is mindblowing. The place is always crowded in the evenings to enjoy the sunset and an evening spent out with family. There is an open theater, art gallery, adventure park,kids park, balloon park, 3d movie and all are arranged for the visitors.also every saturday and sunday there will be laser show and musical water fountain show will be there in the evenings. Visiting time: 8:00am- 9:00pm. Free:10 rs....

.Kottakkunnu is a place people frequent to spend their evenings. It is situated at Kunnummal( Up Hill), Malappuram. It is a few hundred metres away from KSRTC Bus stand, Malappuram. Kottakkunnu Park which is situated on top of a hillock offers a beautiful panoramic view of the places around. One has to climb up many steps to reach the Park. If you find it difficult to climb the steps there are alternate roads which will help you to reach the park in your private vehicle.
