During our visit to Mee Mee Restoran near the container road toll plaza, we tried their Fish Curry Meals along with Beef Fry, Kakka, and Neymeen Fry. Here's our detailed experience:

Food Review:

Fish Curry Meals (₹160): The meals included rice, philopy curry, and a variety of side dishes like kovakka thoran, chemeen achar, unakachemeen chammanthy podi, kappa curry, unaka mullan fry, and pappadam. While the meals and side dishes were flavorful and satisfying, the fish curry itself was below average and lacked the expected taste.

Beef Fry (₹150) and Kakka (₹120): Both were average in taste. While the quality of the beef seemed good, the flavors didn’t stand out.

Neymeen Fry (₹250): This was the highlight of our meal. The fish tasted fresh and was well-prepared, though the portion size was medium.

Lime Juice/Sarbath (₹30): Refreshing and good in taste, but the price felt steep for a basic drink.

Ambience and Service:

The dining area had an open setup, with the side areas not covered.

Cleanliness was okay, though there’s room for improvement.

The food was served on plastic leaves, which felt out of place given their "organic" theme. It did not align with their caption and was disappointing.

Hospitality was good, though we had to wait a while for the food to arrive.

Pricing:

Some items felt overpriced, especially considering the basic presentation and setup. While organic food can justify higher prices, charging ₹30 for a sarbath seemed excessive.

Other Facilities:

Parking space is limited but manageable.

Conveniently located adjacent to the container road service road, making it easy to find.

Verdict:

Mee Mee Restoran offers a medium-range dining experience with some standout dishes like Neymeen Fry. While the meals and side dishes were enjoyable, the below-average fish curry and steep pricing were letdowns. Improvements in consistency, ambience, and presentation could elevate the overall experience.

We recently visited Mee Mee Restoran, conveniently located just off Container Road. If you're heading from the Bolghatty side, be sure to take the service lane that begins at the Bolghatty roundabout—Google Maps might not guide you perfectly, so it’s worth calling ahead for directions.

We dropped in for lunch on a bustling Sunday afternoon, and the place was packed, a testament to its popularity. We ordered the fish curry meals accompanied by Karimeen Pollichathu (pearl spot) and Koonthal Roast (squid). The vegetable sides were fresh and vibrant, complementing the seafood perfectly. The masala for both the Karimeen and Koonthal was rich, flavorful, and had that unmistakable taste of organic, farm-fresh ingredients.

The service was another highlight—warm, welcoming, and attentive. The owners personally ensured that every guest was well taken care of, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.
