Read moreSo it gets 2 stars instead of 0, just for the service and the ambience. But the food is a disappointment through and through. We ordered Appetisers: Seaweed salad which was delicious but sadly bulked up with large chunks of cucumber making the actual seaweed proportion of the salad pretty small The tuna carpaccio which had pickled chopped green chilli and a very very spicy chilli oil roe of some kind on top, and it looked like it had basil oil drizzled around it which unfortunately made it bitter and a bit strange, and the yuzu sauce on the side which was meant to be drizzled on top was not great The salmon uramaki had 3 large fish roe balls on top of each segment of the roll, but the dish itself was not bad - unfortunately the wasabi was a massive letdown - not at all sharp, just straight up salty.
We then ordered a large plate ie the fried rice and seafood The seafood turned out to be only shrimp which was not deveined and also in the entire dish there may have been 5 or 6 shrimp. The rice was so extremely salty we had to send the dish back as it was inedible.
We asked them to replace it with a chicken katsu - however ten minutes after placing the order they came by and told us the katsu was crumb fried with egg (which we had informed them at the start of the meal we couldn’t eat as one of our party had an egg allergy)
So we asked for the cheque, they profusely apologised and brought over a chocolate dessert which they insisted we had a bite of even tho we technically had barely even eaten dinner - but the intention was good.
