Jai Hind Hotel — Restaurant in Mumbai

Jai hind's basic architecture stands from the time of the British raj.

The setting is that of a 1980ish restaurant, it may not be pleasing to the eye for sophisticated townies.

But as a local and someone's who has literally grown up fed by this place, I can assure you the food is one of the most delicious I've ever eaten in a restaurant.

It's also very pocket friendly.

The dal tadka/fry is a must try, puri bhaji amdmisal fry too. Usually the bhurji is delicious too, but a bit inconsistent with sometimes being great tasting, sometimes being good, never bad though.

Wouldn't recommend the vada pav or samosas, they're okay, not great just like...

If you order a full plate they will send you half a plate and will charge you the amount of a full plate. I recently ordered food from Jai Hind, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. First, the staff seemed unfamiliar with the names of the dishes. I was told my order would be delivered in 20 minutes, but it took almost an hour without any sign of my food. I called them 10 times for an update, but no one answered.
