Mamledar Misal — Restaurant in Mumbai

So I went to Mamledar Misal in Kanjurmarg and let me tell you it was like entering a battlefield of flavors. The moment I sat down I already knew my tongue was going to cry but my heart was going to smile.

The misal came looking all innocent but don’t fall for that trick. One bite and boom fireworks. Spicy like your ex’s texts at 2am but somehow you still want more. The tarri was rich and full of taste like some secret masala passed down from generations. The farsan on top gave that crunch which made the whole plate feel like a celebration in your mouth.

The pav was soft and fresh thank god because you need something to calm down your burning tongue. Even the onions and lemon on the side felt like supporting actors who did their job perfectly.

The place is not fancy but who cares when your soul is dancing from the taste. The staff is friendly and they won’t judge you when you’re sweating and wiping your nose like it’s an emotional moment.

Price is very pocket friendly and you will walk out full like you just had a family meal.

If you love spicy food this place is your heaven. If you don’t then maybe carry a fire extinguisher for your mouth. But either way you must try it at least once. Because this is not just food it’s an experience your stomach will...

I am giving overall 2 star i.e. also only for Food quality. Not for other things. Food quality, test, quantity is satisfactory as compare to Thane branch. but i am totally disappointed with the behavior of the person who sits on counter and so bad policy of service and charges in AC compartment.

Please check menu card in AC area they have applied 10 rs etc for every item. If you are taking 1 Misal of 65 Rs. 1 cup of Tea of 15 Rs. 1chas 20 Rs. Then you have to give etc 10 rs for each item. Normal total bill amount is 100 but You have to pay 130 rs. In that so called AC area where AC is not at all working and service is also too late... On other side there was no place to sit so they people only suggest us to sit in AC area, while doing this plz tell people about the price.

I would advice to Mamledar please keep board outside of AC room...

I usually have misal pav here, and so my rating is based just on that. Other things such as ambience, service, cleanliness, etc. are functional and I don't have much to say about them.

Misal served here is fresh and hot. You can choose either medium spicy or extra spicy in curry.

The couple of times that I have visited here (and their other main outlet at Thane), I have found their taste of misal declining. It's not the same I am sure. The level of spice is doubtlessly there, but there's no other flavor or dimension that balances the hot feature of the misal: it just feels spicy at first and bland immediately after that. Not good in my opinion for a place that stakes its reputation on selling misal.
