As a frequent traveler, I've had the privilege of exploring culinary delights across continents, with South Asia being a frequent stop due to work commitments and my love for its diverse cuisine. Being an Australian of Indian origin and a self-proclaimed foodie, I've traversed various corners of India, savoring the wide array of culinary experiences it has to offer.
Recently, during my travels to Central India, specifically Nagpur, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that completely exceeded my expectations. Nestled in the heart of the city, this culinary haven offers an unforgettable journey through time, blending flavors from the Mughal era to contemporary fusion dishes seamlessly.
The starters were a revelation, with each bite offering a burst of flavor and tenderness that left me craving for more. From succulent kebabs to fiery chilli chicken and an enticing array of tandoori specialties, the culinary adventure began on a high note.
However, it was the main course that truly stole the show and captured the essence of indulgence. The Murgh Musallam, a regal dish fit for kings, was a symphony of flavors and textures that left an indelible mark on my palate. And let's not forget the biryani, a culinary masterpiece that spoke volumes of the expertise and tradition of Babbu's, acclaimed as the best in the region.
As I savored the delicious desserts, reflecting on the gastronomic journey I had just embarked upon, I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer brilliance of it all. This experience transcended mere dining; it was a celebration of culture, tradition, and passion for food.
For fellow food enthusiasts in Nagpur, this establishment is a must-visit. For those visiting the city, consider it a culinary pilgrimage that promises to tantalize your taste buds and leave you yearning for more. In a nutshell, if you find yourself in Nagpur and have a penchant for exceptional dining experiences, do yourself a favor and embark on this culinary journey—it's an experience and service you won't soon forget.

We visited Hotel Babbu with high expectations but had one of the worst dining experiences ever. We ordered Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Lollipop, and both dishes were absolutely pathetic — the taste was off, the chicken was not fresh, and the flavors were completely missing. It felt like the food had been reheated rather than freshly prepared.
To make things worse, the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When we politely mentioned that the food didn’t taste good, they responded in a very dismissive manner instead of trying to make things right.
We were so disappointed that we didn’t even bother ordering the main course and decided to leave midway. We went to Arabian Taj instead, where the food and service were far better.
Overall, this place completely ruined our dining mood. Poor food quality, bad service, and zero sense of hospitality. Definitely not worth your...
