On March 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM, outside the gate of Shri Poddareshwar Ram Temple in Nagpur, a Hindu family—which was not from Nagpur—was brutally beaten.
The family consisted of a father, two sons, and their mother, who was also a patient. They shared their ordeal but could not disclose everything for personal reasons.
According to them, the attack was carried out by the temple guard, two other individuals, and a man who claimed to be the owner of the temple. All of them had wooden and bamboo sticks in their hands.
After assaulting the family, they mocked them, saying: "No one can do anything to me. If you want, you can even file a police complaint."
Reason for the Attack
The only reason for this brutal beating was that the family had eaten watermelon and thrown the watermelon peels under the bridge.
No Police Action Taken
The family filed a complaint at Ganeshpeth Police Station.
However, they have not received any call from the police so far.
The police simply registered the complaint and told the family they would send a photo of the complaint on WhatsApp.
The police conducted a basic medical checkup and prepared normal reports.
