Icing On The Cake — Restaurant in Nagpur

This is just a review of a cake which i had designed and gave you the order. I have to tell this! I was very very disappointed with the decoration and the quality of work and finishing of the cake. It was not at all worth Rs 1600. Icing on the cake is a renowned bakery in nagpur and based on the previous work of you i decided to give you the order.

When i made you see the design which i had drawn with so much detailing and had given the actual photo of how each and every element that you were supposed to make should look like i thought in will get it exact.

Now here is the thing. The cake was simple round shaped which should have been divided into two perfect semicircles for the purpose of the themed decoration. The semi circles were not even! That is not at all expected from your end.

The theme was “harry potter” on the red and yellow side and tv series “friends” on the black side. Now when i provided you the image of how friends should be written.. you cant just change it! I can accept the change of font! But you cant change the design of the logo! Its supposed to be same to same! You eliminated the coloured dots and just ignored them when they were such an important part of the logo. The piping work of the “signature yellow frame” of the series was so poor that it looked like it was made by a child.

There was a spelling mistake of the word “WHERE” you wrote it “WHESE”.

I even provided the harry potter platform number image. 9 3/4. Now this is common sense that when we write some number like this, the first number is always bigger in size than the fraction. But you made 9 smaller than 3/4 .

This was not at all an impossible task for bakers and cake decorators of your level. And after such a disappointing cake work you delayed the delivery time! This is not at all expected from you.

I felt very important to give this review because i felt as my 1600 were totally a waste! This is just shere disappointment. You promised to match it 70% but everyone was of the opinion that...

I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 1 - I had been a regular visitor to the Dharampeth outlet for last 3 years however the staff in last 2 months has become extremely rude & unprofessional. Last month We gave our order, 25 min passed and we enquired why the food hadnt been served. We were shocked to receive the reply from the waiter - "Sir, you did not confirm the order." How else are we suppose to confirm??? We then asked them to cancel our order, to which the staff says it has already been ordered and we started making it! How can you say two opposite things at the same time??? We had no option but to walk out!

Yesterday (23rd Nov) - We ordered a softdrink along with our food & also mentioned that please take our order only if the drink is available. The waiter took our order. After 10 mins i asked them to serve the coldrink, so the manager tells us they have stopped serving Aerated drinks! And the drinks kept in the fridge on the counter are for their internal consumption. ARE YOU EVEN SERIOUS? Why did u even take the order then? Why have you kept the coldrinks on the counter?

The staff is not informed about what is happening. I hope the management looks into this, as i used to really...

(Dharampeth Branch) The cakes on the shelves are not at all fresh. V tried carrot cake and a chocolate marble cake. Both were too hard. We also ordered a Birthday cake. And despite giving them a reminder call next morning for the order. They couldn't deliver on the promised time. Firstly they couldn't deliver the cake home. Wen v went to the shop to collect d order ourselves, it wasn't even ready. Then they asked us to collect the cake from a different branch and made us wait 2 hrs for it. And on top of it the delivered cake was also not as per agreed design. Since v had guest waiting at home for the cake cutting, we had no other option but to accept it d way it was made. After all dis, the manager has the audacity to say he has gone out of his way to get this done....like seriously !! Very impolite manager and if u complain about d service dey will ask u to cancel d order (mentioned in few other reviews as well) So if u wanna buy expensive food items and be rewarded with pathetic service and rude behaviour then its certainly Icing...
