I would like to give ZERO rating to this place! I ordered an almond praline cake for my parent’s anniversary and it was my worst decision to pay almost double the price for a half kg cake along with additional delivery charges. The cake was delivered in a state, nobody would want to celebrate with it. Still, I did not raise it yet and went ahead to celebrate with my mom and dad. That’s when we realised the cake was stinking. Everyone threw it out of their mouths and gave the only reaction “Chee”. People who value food and love cake and are in the mood to celebrate the anniversary, had this experience - Why? Just because i chose JD Desserts Boutique to make my parent’s anniversary special. So, next morning I chose to report it to Swiggy. They closed my request with worst customer care service by shutting my conversation in middle and asking me to wait for their response on mail. By noon, i receive their response with no apology, no refund and mentioning straight up they cannot do anything about it. So, i call the restaurant to look into it and that’s where i lost it ! The lady asked me to porter it as she needs to confirm if the cake is stale !!! What!!! After paying 75 extra delivery charges and almost double the amount for a 1/2 kg cake, this is how they take customer feedback! I am their since 2019 and the way their customer service level has dropped is pathetic. This happened with me for the 3 time today I had one design for a cake and they made it so horrible. When I went to order the cake from them day before yesterday the staff told me that ma'am ur reference design cake is 1k so the text would not fit in a 500g cake and I was like OK we legit had a 10 to 15 min discussion in which they all showed me the picture also that how the text would be there we even discussed the alignment on the cake and today when i went to pick it up the text was there in fondant . It supposed to sent to my dad office.. it was looking so pathetic that he did cut it only same happened last year also on my birthday where they messed up not just 1 but 2 of my birthday cake one ordered by my mother where she had clearly ordered a 1kg cake and they gave her a 500 g cake and 2nd one which ordered by my best friend she told them to customize a pink colour vintage theme cake even had send a reference photo and they went and turned that pink into such filthy shade of red and they send her photo just hour before the pick up time my friend was so upset. Was the use of paying above those cake were 1k , 2k , and 1.8k and were ordered well in advance. I recently placed an order for a customised cake for a birthday party, with a fairly simple design and flavour- red velvet. It was a single tier 1.5 kg cake, for which I was charged an exorbitant amount of 3000₹. There was no attention to detail given with respect to the design, and I had to wait for 15 minutes outside while they made certain corrections, and even then, they didn’t have a tall enough box to fit the cake and it was open from three sides. One can at least expect to have decent takeaway boxes when placing such big ordersTo my disappointment, the cake started falling off within 5 minutes of me sitting in the car. The decorations were sliding off and falling down. Even after numerous attempts the elephants ears and balloons couldn’t be joined back which was embarrassing for us as the party hosts. To make it worse, when we cut into the cake, the frosting was crumbly and smelled rotten, and the taste was very mediocre, not even close to what you’d expect when you pay such a price at such a patisserie.
