Hotel Swaraj — Restaurant in Nashik

Food and all was great but after what I saw food or ambiance wasn't on my mind. There was caged old retriever cross male dog, I noticed that there was no water in his bowl the heat was unbearable inside his cage his back was broken and he was limping. We were traveling with Oreo our dog so we had treats, bones and food, we gave water to him that time we came to notice that he is blind and can't hear properly he was so thirsty that he drank almost 2liters of water, we gave him all the treats that we had on us he was hungry too god knows from how many days. We came to know from one worker that because of he is old the owner moved him from home and put it here. When he was in his prime you use him to guard now when he need you the most you shamefully did this to him. SHAME on such person. Please if anyone reading this and planning to go to this place for lunch or dinner please give some water and if possible food to this old soul as there is very little expectations from the owner or staff. He need all the help he can get.

You feel helpless and pointless when you see such things happening in a city where PASHUPATINATH (SHIVA)...

Away from the Urban chaos.. Hotel Swaraj is one of the best options if you're planning a dinner or lunch with friends or family !

I have been here quite a few times by now. And I just went there last evening to enjoy their "Meat & Fish Festival". It's all about meat and fish items of different cuisines. Prawns Fry, Surmai Ghee Roast & Black Pomfret Ghee Roast were the best one that I tried. Try your taste buds.. The festival is for limited time. So you might want to hurry and plan !

Apart from the festival, the whole place is very nice considering it's ambiance, service and food taste !

Do try their, Murg Rara Masala & Murg Mussalam ! Even veg items are also very delicious.. I have had some paneer gravy, cannot recall the name but it was very tasty. Special mention about the rates.. As the rates might seem high at first.. but once you see how much quantity they are serving for that amount of money, you'll be well satisfied with it.

So,posting this an honest review..the ambience was very nice...also they provide live concert but only during weekends...the food quality was not upto the mark...also if you're thinking to have fish dishes... I suggest please don't ever try.. we've ordered koliwada prawn's and we ended having a non-fresh prawn's...also we ordered paneer starter which was good enough...and later we ordered a chic.main course which was average and a veg main course which was good...so in all we ordered two chic.soups, rhumali khakra,1non veg starter,1veg starter,2 non veg starters,1 veg starter,1dal takda thats it...and the bill we made was 2200/- incl.gst... which was not worth... you'd have got a better deal in any other better...
