Suruchi Bhog (Kolhapuri Canteen), Airoli

Visited Suruchi Bhog, also known as Kolhapuri Canteen, located conveniently near Modi Hospital in Airoli. We ordered the Kolhapuri Thali, hoping for an authentic taste of Kolhapur, but it turned out to be a mixed experience.

While the Pandhra and Tambda Rassa were decent, nothing else on the thali truly reflected the bold and rustic flavors typical of Kolhapuri cuisine. The chicken curry was served in a regular gravy style, lacking the signature Kolhapuri punch.

That said, the Thecha with Bhakri stood out—it had a nice kick and paired well. Ambience was clean and simple, creating a comfortable dining space. The place is easily accessible due to its prime location.

Overall, I’d say it’s more of a generic Maharashtrian eatery than a true Kolhapuri restaurant. Giving it 3 out of 5 stars for food. Could be much better with some...

One of the best restaurants in Airoli serving authentic Kolhapuri taste. Most famous for amazing chicken, kombdi wade & mutton thali. The restaurant also provides options for chapati or Bhakri having 3 different variations in bhakri (tandool/ jawari/ bajari). Tbh they don't serve authentic gavran Kolhapuri. It's just regular curry same like other normal hotels. Nothing special. Also, they take tooooo much for servings. Just wall painting gives you villege vibe but the food in way below average. I usually don't write reviews and all but I really craved for gavran Kolhapuri the owner who was sitting outside lied and said yes we have proper gavran Kolhapuri which they don't....
