Went here recently. I wanted to use Bikanervala vouchers provided by my office. There were four coupons - three worth Rs 500 each and one worth Rs 235 (written by hand). All four coupons were issued by Bikanervala and had separate identification numbers.
To my utter dismay, the staff completely refused to redeem the coupon that was worth Rs 235. They cited the handwritten amount as the reason for not redeeming the said coupon. The tone and tenor of the staff at the counter and Mr Rashid left much to be desired. The counter guy was impolite, curt and condescending. Mr Rashid was tried explaining but he too was adamant and not helpful at all. We left the place disappointed.
We then headed to Bikanervala at Janpath. And guess what, we had no trouble at all in redeeming all our coupons.
While I understand that staff is merely carrying out orders flowing from the top, the tone, tenor and customer satisfaction counts for something. Coordination between the central management (issuer of coupons) and outlets was poor. Hope they pull up...

Billing is present on both floors. While it's primarily a self service setup, the staff is helpful and courteous and is happy to serve food at the table. The menu has a truly vast variety although primarily what would qualify as Indian Snacks but North Indian(Chhole Bhature, Matar Kulcha, Naan) South Indian (Idlis, Dosas and Uthapam), Chaat (Gol Gappe, Raj Kachori, dahi bhalla) to snacks like Pav-bhaji and the works. The floor below has a wide variety of Indian sweets and cakes and pastries section as well. Just outside there's a small lawn with some slides, swings etc to keep the kids busy for a short while. Proximity to Nehru Park is a big plus. One can always go for walks, run, playing or a get-together and then walk it down to this place to...
Read moreFirst things first, the parking was almost full and that too on a Monday afternoon, I barely found space. The parking costs ₹40 per hour. Now, coming to the food about which you need to know that this Bikanervala is the most expensive Bikanervala I have been to. Their prices are way higher as compared to other Bikanervala stores. A butter Naan including GST costs 115, so you can imagine the prices of other food items. Coming to the food, the dal makhni and shahi paneer were delicious, especially the gravy of Shahi Paneer. Although the Naan were super cold. They gave us barely any salad. Also, they don't even serve water at the start, as and when you need, you start with a ₹70 vedica water bottle. So, this place as per my experience is all about money, if you have it splurge, if you don't wish to, go to any other location and enjoy the same taste with maybe...
