I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe & Cookies in Puri, and I'd like to share my thoughts on this cozy seaside cafe.

Stunning Location (5/5): The cafe's location is simply breathtaking. With a front-row seat to the sea, you can sip your coffee while gazing at the mesmerizing beauty of the ocean. It's the perfect spot to unwind and relax.

Pleasant Atmosphere (4/5): The cafe offers a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to spend quality time with friends or to enjoy a quiet moment alone.

Average Staff (3/5): While the atmosphere is good, the staff's performance left much to be desired. They were, at best, average in terms of attentiveness to customers. An improvement in their customer service skills would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Speedy Service (4/5): On the bright side, the service was impressively fast. You won't have to wait long for your orders to arrive, which is a definite plus.

Artistic Latte (4/5): The latte art at Cafe & Cookies is truly a work of art. Your coffee not only tastes good but also looks amazing. It's clear that they take pride in their presentation.

Unexpected Sugar Additions (3/5): One aspect that could use improvement is the consistency in coffee preparation. On a few occasions, sugar was added to cappuccinos and lattes without being requested, which was quite disappointing. Precision in beverage preparation is crucial.

Croissants with a Twist (4/5): The croissants here are delightful, boasting a crispy exterior. However, the interior texture could be improved. They have potential to be even better with a flakier inside.

Inconsistent Glass Service (3/5): A minor but noticeable issue is the inconsistency in providing drinking glasses. Even when requested, we sometimes didn't receive them. Attention to these details is important.

Missing Wash Basin (3/5): Another notable omission is the absence of a wash basin. This could be a great addition, especially considering that customers might want to freshen up.

Temperature Troubles (3/5): Maintaining a comfortable temperature inside the cafe was a challenge. At times, it felt uncomfortably warm. Adjusting the climate control system to ensure a consistently pleasant temperature is recommended.

Croissant Variety (4/5): Lastly, while the croissants are good, introducing more variety would be a welcome addition. Almond and pistachio croissants, for instance, could add a new dimension to the menu and cater to diverse tastes.

In summary, Cafe & Cookies in Puri is a cafe with incredible potential, thanks to its prime location and artistic coffee presentation. However, there are areas that require improvement, such as staff attentiveness, consistency in service, and interior comfort. Adding variety to the croissant options and addressing these issues could elevate this cafe to greater heights. The food and the atmosphere of the place was very good, and the ambience was also very nice, but the behaviour of the staff till we gave the order was good, but as we gave the order then in the billing time they were behaving like we are irritating them we went with our friends, so we decided to split the bills so we decided to make two bills and do their individual payments, so we told them to separate the pizza and the water bottle and burger and the cake in two different bills. We repeatedly told this lady in the counter to do the same thing that to separate the two bills, bus couldn’t understand and reverse the bills and she added the burger and the pizza in same bill and sometimes they removed the burger and added three items in one bill. She was creating a mess and after doing two bills and repeatedly we said that same thing, but she couldn’t understand, and she repeatedly said that I guess I understood. I understood and understood, but couldn’t understand repeated told her politely, but then she called another one and their office friend or colleague in that same restaurant and they started to talk in their own language like in Bengali and they were talking, we understand Bengali so we understood that they thought that we understand, but we understood they were talking like these people are very irritating and just call the manager, I can handle them, get them out of here. That place is not cheap. We are paying a certain amount of money to go there and enjoy our free time that we get from other busy life. We studied in college so it’s a mess in college. Beautiful Ambience, Excellent decor and good proactive and energetic staff. Special mention of Miss Sambhovi Gulati, who saved our evening with her experience and proactiveness. Miss Sushmita Das, we are also in the food business and I must mention that you need to keep a close check either via CCTV or surprise inspection of your wonderful cafe at Puri. This should be a regular practice to see that your customers get what they pay for. The AMERICANO Pizza that we ordered from your menu did not have the necessary toppings as mentioned in your menu card.No peppers,No olives,No chicken ham or salami, No cheddar or parmesan cheese, No jalapenos.There was no oregano on the pizza and the sauce was tasteless. We returned the pizza.Even the French fries were twisted and too small in length.They were red outside but raw inside. On calling Miss Gulati (Cafe manager), Things took a turn for the better, but still there's a need for improvement here. Our pizza was replaced very obediently, but you need to train your chef and warn him as this lackluster, laid back and lazy attitude (kaam chalao)will not help you in the long run.When you mention 3 different types of cheese on your pizza then you must stand by it. If you do not have Anchovies or Chicken ham then you must inform the customers about it in case they order the same. This brings out the honesty in service and it does go a long way in creating a good and healthy cutomer base.Being globe trotters it is my duty to inform you since you have put in a lot of investment and hardwork in getting this wonderful cafe going.
