"Wanna taste real good Mughlai dishes? It's the Place you have been looking for." Heads up, oily and spicy food (duh) Takeaway is the best option, Sitting arrangements are available however not recommended, 'coz First, staff gives priority to Takeaway and Delivery orders and Second sitting conditions are not great as of now. You may also Park your vehicle, order and eat your food in it, however technically that's illegal. Also before you place an order, go figure what you wanna have, the place gets quite busy with night and you may get ignored by the staff for a while if you are not ready with the order. Bit expensive and also, few may not even like the food because people are now used to the commercial recipes and may not even like the richness and masala/spice combination. Also beware of impostors, this one's original so if you want, you can ask the store manager for the official franchise/branch location(s) Closed on Tuesdays and Very Rarely on few select public holidays.

My personal experience, went four times, of four, two times had been worse enough to not visit again. 1) mutton nihari gravy was filled with human hairs. I thought may be it was pure bad luck. 2) last time had visited with friends and were served chicken changezi with a Roach(cockroach) in it. After showing it to the person incharge they said the food was free. But we decided to leave. On leaving the manager mocked us by saying only changezi was free other items we had to pay. I was insulted and infuriated by the shear audacity of manager. Nevertheless paid it and promised to never come back to the place. Food is alright if you don't mind hairs, roaches or feces. Hygiene is strictly avoided by staff. Manners are butchered. Pathetic experience. <Have uploaded the photos. If it somehow got deleted by owner. You can mail me. I can send you the proof >

We ordered following items from changezi through swiggy today. 1. Butter tandoori chicken : horrible .. overcooked pieces tasted like wood floating in a pool of butter. Completely avoidable. 2. Chicken changezi : 2 chest pieces of chicken in a gravy full of oil. I had specifically asked for the dark meat. Both the pieces were rubbery and chewy. 3. Khamiri roti is a joke.. nowhere near to authentic khamiri served in jama masjid.. this roti was full of yeast and chewy as hell.. 4. Mutton nihari: only dish which was edible and with which i could finish at least half of the khamiri Would never order food from this restaurant again.

Why will you go there:

Taste: This place is famous for its flavours of butter tandoori, changezi chicken and khameeri roti.

Why will you won't go there:

This place is NOT A FINE DINING restaurant. Parking will be an absolute nightmare. Lack of proper parking space. Seating is available, but then its men only. Please read in between the lines, I won't say much!!

Verdict: This place is best described as a take away shop complex, which comprises of two units. From a family perspective, its best to have your order packed and enjoyed at home.

Coming to the taste factor, if you a spice fanatic, then, this is your place. Changezi, is pure fire!!!....It's ultra spicy, therefore its recommended that you order a quarter plate first, then depending on your fire power, go for the half or full plate, usually a half is enough for a gang of 4 friends.

Coming to butter tandoori, its way less spicy than changezi and eatable. A full plate is recommended, assuming you are as hungry as a wild cat!!

None the less, the taste of both these dishes are unmatched, which will be a primary reason for your going there.

And a hearty feast, for 4 people is reasonably priced ~1500, which is awesome!!. Best place to go after a...

Here's your step by step guide to enjoy the food at Changezi (karol bagh)

Enter the place. Families have a different sitting place. Lads can go sit in their bigger dining hall a few metres from the family seating. Though standards of hygiene remain poor to average.

Find yourself a place to sit. Might have to wait for a while on holidays and weekends.

Start with ordering a portion of butter roasted. Tandoori chicken dipped and served in melted pasturised butter and green chutney. Non spicy lovers keep cold water or coke handy. People with spicy palate can continue with pouring chutney and masala over the ring onions.

While on it gobbling, order mutton korma or changezi with khameeri. A normal person can eat max 2 or maybe 3 if starving.

Top it off with a phirni.

Notes:

Almost all dishes are dipped in oil Service is usually quick Parking is usually an issue Ask for a bucket or just slide one under your table for bones...
