Here is a detailed analysis/review of this joint on almost all important parameters 👉

#Ambience - Cool, cozy urban setup. The aroma of Biryani prepares ur hunger pangs as soon as one enters the premises. 👍

#Food - When you search "best biryani in Cuttack" tag on Google, this is the highest rated by the locals. And they are actually right. The mutton biryani is just lip smacking & mouth watering and the restaurant lives up to their punch line "everyone needs Biryani" (a good one though 😄). 👌❤️👍

#Food (others) - Here is the area of opportunity 🤙 The other picks on the menu are not that great or not crafted with much interest. They clearly serve as sides here. On their menu list, I have tasted/tried #mutton_liver_keema 👎 #mutton_kasa 👎 #DFC_Special_Veg_Korma 👍 #Veg_Paneer_Dum_Biryani 👎 #Kadai_Mushroom 👌👍 #Paneer_Hydrabadi 👎 #Lachha Paratha 👍 #Tandoori Roti 👍

#Quantity/ Proportion- On this parameter, the eatery does fairly well 👍

#Quality - As explained above, the eatery outclass on Mutton/ Chicken Biryani 👍front but lags a lot on other picks on the menu card 👎

Service 👎👎- Lathargic! 👎Typically Lathargic attitude amongst the people who actually represents a place. Only Biryani is spontaneous (as it's most demanding here) but remaining items take way too time to serve than usual. Servers here are least caring for the consumer's need and that is clearly visible when they do table service.

#Doesn't serve cutlery by default.👎

#Need to request them several times for a extra spoon/fork/plates.👎

#Everything One needs will reach him after placing several requests with them.👎

#They show a meagre face to a consumer who asks them repeatedly for not providing things required on a table.👎

In short, they are least bothered about the consumer visiting this place as it has already carved out his name in top eateries + This place is also visited by good number of Ollywood celebrities so servers here has a casual attitude towards consumers visiting this place. They believe in no need of showing that "We care" attitude 👎👎👎

Overall - 2 areas of opportunity to work upon.. viz, other items on menu & customer service/satisfaction

Hope management takes reviews positively and improvise what is lagging behind in making it the best restaurant in the city.

Note 1- This review is based upon 2 visits to this joint and observations. Have rated it 5 🌟 at the first review but reducing it to 4 🌟 based on their service. Would be glad to rate it again 5 🌟 if mgmt works positively on the AOO.

THE BEST PLACE FOR MUTTON BIRIYANI IN CUTTACK. I have tried mutton Biryani at almost all the famous places in Cuttack ( the less famous ones also ) and I find this place's mutton Biryani to be the best. Why is it the best? - The quality of the mutton and the way it is cooked. The taste of spices are absolutely normal and is not that extraordinary but the quality of the mutton and the way it is cooked is so delicious that it enhances the flavour of the BIRIYANI as a whole. If you are looking for a very spicy BIRIYANI or a BIRIYANI with a lot of masalas in it , then it might disappoint you a bit. But if you are looking for a BIRIYANI where each and every masala used comes out as a unique flavour of its own and the mutton just steals the show, then my friend, DFC is where you need to be. Whenever I go , I always order mutton Biryani. Half plate of It costs ₹160 and taxes added it becomes ₹168. Another great thing about this place is its pricing of items. The items are very affordable. For example they also provide a quarter plate of mutton Biryani at ₹90. All other starters that I have tasted are equally great. The chicken starters especially are finger licking good. And at a very very very cheap price. I ordered garlic chicken , half plate, it cost me ₹95 and had 6 pieces. I was overwhelmed. It's a family restaurant. You can hang out with your friends too. Infact, the taste is so good, I often go alone sometimes when I get a craving for some good BIRIYANI. The restaurant is moderately sufficient and I guess sits 40-50 people at once. The waiters are customer friendly as well. We once went as a large group, so they opened the adjacent khatti cafe for us and we dined peacefully. All in all I would say it is a must visit place for BIRIYANI lovers. And a decent...

After trying dada biryani near fortune tower Bhubaneswar and getting lots of recommendation like "best biryani in odisha and bla bla" i decided to visit this place with my friends , the place was too much crowded and very fewer seats were available when we reached their , it was congested but we focused more on Biryani than the ambience. We had ordered 2 mutton biryani and 1 chicken biryani and both were of same price (Rs.230) and masala cold drinks in the end. And i am extremely disappointed.

The biryani had good amount of rice and 4 pieces of mutton , But the mutton pieces were small and mostly bones no flesh . Raita tasted like salt water 🤣🤣 as it was mostly watery 💦💦. Rs.230 for this biryani is a bit too much overpriced i would say 👎

Taste was between average and good (less than what i expected from this place by seeing it's review on google and from food bloggers).

Got scammed with the masala cold drink as it wasn't cold. 🥲 So make sure to check before you order it.

Definitely not worth going that far and spending that much of money in this place. It's overhyped and overpriced. Bhubaneswar Dada Biryani is far more better compared to this.
