Hong Kong Restaurant — Restaurant in Odisha

Food taste wise it's just beyond any comparison with any available restaurant in the city. Infact the mix chowmin I had here today, is one of the best, I ever had. It's just perfect, nothing else to be added.

Food quality : ingredients wise, items are fresh and perfectly cooked.

Hospitality: owner is courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. We shared a very productive discussion for a long time.

Ambiance: I have no complain about ambiance. It's an old resturant and time has no effect on it. It's still resembles like an 1980-1990's classic chinese restaurant, with British era house, old furniture, old roofing with iron bim bar support. Who don't love to travel back those nostalgic era , with some great authentic food.

Price. Pricewise it's ok.. As per the locality,it's just mildly on pricier side.. but still it's reasonable, compared to taste and quality.

It's become a benchmark for me on chinese food at Cuttack.. Definately coming back to explore other...

I today visited this place "Hong Kong chinese restaurant" Buxibazar. I ordered three items to taste their signature foods. There was just one person who has been working ,hard and doing all set of works to manage that restaurant. The items which i tasted is Gold Coin Prawn ,Fried Spring Chiken and Chiken Fooyung. The food was average ,although not that bad or good. Gold coin prawn was bit over fried but still the taste inside it was average, creamy buttery prawn packed inside two layer of batter with bread base .The chicken was fried properly although taste was not that super. The last item was Chicken fooyung which is mostly type of omlete added vegetables and chickens seasoned inside to sum up the taste. All of them were good but could be better. It may be bit expensive as well in comparision of any other items at other place but still a onetime vist place to have...

I went to this place last week. Infact my home is very near to the restaurant but I revisited the iconic place after 30 years approx. All the old staffs have died but I think it ' s still run by the Chinese family. Now coming to the food I ordered a mix fried rice which was good in taste and the portion was enough for one person but the chilli chicken was disgusting. The moment I put the first piece into my mouth I wanted to vomit but somehow gulped it. I have never tried a mouse but don ' t know why I think a mouse will taste the same when cooked.
