KOKANVAN Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Malvani cuisine here is absolutely outstanding! The crab soup is rich and aromatic, making it the perfect start to the meal. The chicken soup stood out with its hearty, flavorful broth, offering a comforting, savory experience. For starters, the Kolambi fry (prawn fry) was perfectly crispy and seasoned, showcasing fresh seafood at its best. As for the thalis, both the Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali were fantastic, offering a perfect balance of curries, rice, and accompaniments that truly highlight the essence of Malvani flavors. The Surmai Thali deserves a special mention: the piece of Surmai (Kingfish) was generously sized, cooked to perfection, and simply delicious. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with authentic flavors.
Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ambiance is just as wonderful as the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy yet lively vibe, making it the perfect place to indulge in a traditional meal. The decor complements the vibrant flavors of the cuisine, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A special mention to Vijay, whose service was exceptional! He was friendly, attentive, and ensured all our needs were met promptly. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Malvani cuisine. The soups, thalis, and fresh seafood were top-notch, though a slight tweak in service speed or attention to minor details would push the experience to a perfect 5 stars. Despite this, it's definitely a place I would return to for a flavorful and...

When we brought this to the staff's attention, they informed the chef, who came over to speak with us. However, instead of acknowledging the issue, he became defensive. When they said yes, he turned to us and remarked, ''Apparently your family eats more salt.”
I was shocked. Is this how a chef talks to paying customers? Instead of accepting feedback and apologizing, he taunted us in front of other diners. It was humiliating and completely unprofessional.
At the end, they gave us a 5% discount, which felt like a shallow attempt to patch things up. We didn’t even want it, but they insisted.
Safe to say, I will not be...
