Here's one of my recent experience with La crosta: The guy at the counter was very funny, I ordered food at 9:45 pm , the guy on the phone said it may be delayed as he is short of manpower (Fair enough), I told him that I would not order then, he then changed his statement and said I will deliver before 11 pm since the address is close by, so I ordered.
I waited until 11 pm , order did not arrive, I called, he said I told you before it will be late (LOL) when I objected and said that was unacceptable as informed, he said okay the delivery boy is here now he will reach your place in 5 mins, (What's 5 mins when I already waited 1:45 Hours right?)
I waited again. I again got a call from the owner at 11:30 pm that the guy is at society gate (which is good 10 min walk from my apartment) and request you to collect the parcel from there. Imagine 11:30 PM (Another 30 mins) I am half sleepy and he wants me to jog to the gate to collect the order.
So I cancelled, the FUNNY part starts here, he goes all berserk and TOLD ME TO NOT ORDER AGAIN from La Crosta too polite for any hospitality staff I ever spoke to ... I am not sure whether he was the owner or manager but it made me laugh.. Problem with most restaurants in Kharghar they are super unprofessional, some little popular ones seems to not handle the success well and kill the name with such incidents.
I would NEVER recommend this place if you are looking for quick deliveries. As for the management of LA CROSTA Thank You for spoiling my Valentine's day. I'm anyways never ordering,...
Read moreEdit 2025: A bit disappointed! The way I remember the taste, it has changed and not for the good. It’s kind of just okayish now. This is not just my review! Even my family and friends mentioned that it’s just okay and it’s not like how they remember it!
I don’t expect the chefs to remain the same from 5-10 years ago but I would probably look into it and see what’s missing and what’s going on!
Review from the past 5-10 years ago - Awesome Pizzas! Period! Eons better than Dominoes, Pizza Hut etc. A must try for Pizza lovers. All the pizzas are more than worth the cost and they don't loot us like other big Pizza chains. I wish La Crosta was a chain of restaurants, they have the potential to become the de facto pizza hub. By default we get THIN crusts and ample amount of cheese, I just cant imagine the burst of cheese if we add extra cheese! Unlike Dominoes the pizza toppings occupy the whole base till the edge of the base so there is no wastage of base. I have had Veg Pizzas and Non-Veg as well! And don't forget you get 12in pizzas for a really great value! With that same amount of money you just get shitty small pizzas from other leading pizza outlets. Even the entry level Spicy Chicken is a treat to eat! Trouble free ordering from Zomato plus delivery in around 30 to 40 minutes or even less! I had a delightful experience and this will be my default Pizza place...
Read moreA tiny hidden (not for long) gem for those who love Italian/American food. Revisited this place after a prolonged gap with my nephews. It pleases you with its food! Had Veg Orzo Pasta Salad, Pepperoni Pizza, Veg Arabiatta Pasta & Ultimate Chicken Whooper Burger along with a Peach Ice Tea, a Lemonade & a Kala Khatta Spritzer. If we were forced to pick a winner (coz it isn't easy) it was the Tower of a Burger!
Their Pizzas, Burgers and Pastas are total value for your buck! But this eatery requires a better locale. Operating out of a corner triangular gala at the end of a lane known only to the resident college crowd and enclosed sq.ft. area comparable to a large vada-pav cart, it manages to be charming in its own way. Take-outs might be a norm here, in a fine rainy afternoon its still worth parking yourself on one of the 3 tables set under the yawning for a warm satisfying meal. The un-obtrusive staff helps...
