One of the oldest and surest family restaurants in patiala. It serves pure veg couisine at genuine prices and, mostly, desi ghee cooking. ( though I have found their Dal Makhani particularly unsavory ).

I have ordered and dined here on occasions too numerous to count. So here's some practical advise: order Hot Chocolate Fudge and Tutty Fruity Sundae. These are must taste once in a life dishes here, that you would most likely consume multiple times.

A staple order is Tandoori Sampler. I dislike the Dal. Even so, the rest of the stuff more than makes up for its price tag. It is the best value item here and something the shop should be proud of. It is incomparably more sumptuous than it's counterpart at Jaggi { frankly a question of 4 vs 2, and ₹260 vs ₹214 }, minus the dal... ( as I said I wish they put munchurian paneer instead, but one cannot wish for perfection )

Two years back, me and my family had a bumper meal here. 5 plates of Paneer tikka, Mushroom tikkas and Paneer Munchurian tikkas, Main dinner consisting of Dal makhani and Shahi Paneer and thereafter 3 Hot Chocolate Fudges and 2 Tutty fruity sundaes....all costing less than ₹ 1500. Now, those would be about ₹ 2400... well inflation... and commercial gas cylinders.....

Though three Samplers, two Hot Chocolate Fudges and 1 Paneer munchurian along with 10-20 tandoori roti would still be under ₹1500. So it has the food market beat in that regard.

I can't say I vouch for it's healthy food—especially sabzis— quality but still it is a giant and a respectable shop that delivers a package that everybody in patiala should check...

This place has a sweet shop below and a restaurant above. We had decided to have chhole bhature while walking into the restaurant. It has comfortable seating and a clean washroom. The AC was quite effective and the inside air was fresh and clean. We had chhole bhature that were served well, hot bhature, well made chhole and typical onions, chillies and achar. Staying out of Punjab, I long to have such authentic food when I come to Punjab. They even offered us a refill of chhole. The price was very reasonable and the plates were clean. Even though it said self service, the staff was kind enough to serve us at our table. On our way downstairs, we also bought some sweets. Plus they have live counter outside where we bought Desi ghee jalebis. Others were buying samosas, kachoris and paneer pakodas too. Overall, a...
