Vels Restaurant — Restaurant in Puducherry

To start with , we booked an executive suite for 3 adults(as mentioned on make my trip) in this hotel on an urgent basis for a 5-say accommodation. On first day itself , they gave us a room which was really small for 3 adults and the given mattress had stains and was extremely dirty. We approached them and requested for a better room which was given to us the next day. Everytime we had to ask them to clean the room and take the dustbins , the room service won't even bat an eye to your concerns and queries till you beat the trumpet near their ears. The intercom doesn't work , so each time you want something you have to call them on their card number. Most of the time the person on the reception won't be available. They won't provide you toiletries too till you ask them. I don't know which world the staff lives in , they would pretend as if they don't understand your language and wouldn't pay attention to the needs too. Quite insolent staff behaviour, bottled water sold at a higher price than mrp. Manager intimidated me and other customer as we had asked why the same is being sold at such a price. Too expensive for the quality of food, observed pests including rats running between the table.

Asked to move to their bar section owing to lack of table.

Hope action is taken towards such erratic staff behaviour and violating consumer rights by selling goods over its mrp by restaurant management and the consumer’s authorities pertaining to this issue.

According to latest court order, the restaurant can charge goods over mrp if they either refrigerate or serve it in a glass to the customer. Neither of which were followed by the hotel staff ( the manager had asked me to talk to the owner in a derogatory manner owing to confrontation)

Stop leaving inappropriate reviews. If you can't understand the operating hours of our business, we can't help it. Do try to understand the concept of business hours, it's there for a reason and if you arrive at a business while it's closed, it doesn't entitle you to have the privilege to sabotage their reputation by your inconsistent, inappropriate and unethical review.
