Celebrating my grandmother’s 65th birthday at Atithi Veg turned out to be one of the most memorable evenings our family has ever experienced. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the final emotional moment when a staff member shared a beautiful shayari dedicated to our grandmother, everything was absolutely flawless. I rarely write long reviews, but the hospitality and the emotional connection we felt that evening truly deserve more than just a few lines. Here is our story.

The moment we entered Atithi Veg, we were greeted with warmth and a sincere smile by the staff. The ambiance of the restaurant is calm and elegant — perfect for a family gathering or a special celebration. They had reserved a spacious area for our group, and the decor was tastefully done. What made it even more special was the way the staff ensured everything was set according to our needs — from seating arrangements for elders to helping us place a custom cake in their fridge. We were a group of about 70 people, including elders and young kids, and yet the staff managed everything smoothly — refilling water, taking orders, serving with care, and making sure no one was left waiting. Plates were cleared quietly, and new dishes came out piping hot. Not once did we feel rushed or ignored.

The Highlight — A Shayari That Touched Our Hearts

Now, coming to the most unforgettable moment of the evening.

As we were wrapping up the evening and enjoying our desserts, one of the waiters — a soft-spoken young man — came forward with a gentle smile and said, "Madam, if I may, I would like to say a few lines for your grandmother."

We were surprised and curious, and all eyes turned toward him.

He then recited a shayari — a few lines in beautiful Hindi — dedicated not only to my grandmother but to the spirit of family, love, and generations coming together. The way he spoke, the way he expressed — it felt like he was one of us, like he had known our family for years. His voice had warmth, and his words carried genuine emotion.

That small gesture — a few sincere lines from someone we didn’t know — made our evening unforgettable. That shayari wasn’t just poetry; it was a tribute. It left a lasting impression on all of us.

I had booked their AC hall for a function. The hotel owner/manager was cordial however there were some other major issues. Food quality and taste is wonderful. However the less said about their service the better. For a function of 50-60 people just one server was provided. For welcome drink had to continuously followup with the server to take a round. As if this was not enough the single server was missing for close to 20-30 mins when food bowls had become emptied. For close to 30-40 mins not one but there was shortage of 3-4 food items. The supervisor was following up with the kitchen staff however she could do nothing. Ice-cream which was part of the menu was served after 15-20 guests had already left. The restaurant manager later informed that as there was rush at restaurant so food could not be replenished in time. But such reason is unacceptable. The function was planned and not an ad-hoc one. It was the responsibility of the restaurant to ensure that food items are provided in time. Please don't plan for any function on weekend at this place as they will keep giving same reason of crowd rush and your function will be spoiled like mine.
