As a Punekar with a family in the city, there is no thali restaurant that I have not visited. Basari Dining - can easily be termed the worse performing. If you live in Warje - Karve Nagar area, SWAMI DINING next to McDonalds is far superior.
Service - IT DOES NOT EXSIT. I personally, never got falka again, after sitting for 10 mins blank. Poori came once, and never again. You can see the waiters standing near the washroom area and chilling, but not serving. A few reviews here talk about this aspect - SERVICE IS MISSING. We went at 7.15PM, and it wasn't even half occupied, and still no service. Of us 6 diners, none was able to complete the meal flawlessly. We had to keep sitting for sabji, or falka to arrive. Didn't feel like a Thali restaurant at all. The staff seems untrained.
Sabji - Paneer, Bhindi, One green sabji (which was sweet - and no one ate), Rajma (which most people don't eat at night).
Rotis - Phulka & Poori only ( 4 of us got poori only once and after our meal was almost over. Only 2 got poori at start. No rotla, or paratha, or pooran poli or any other kind of roti.
Papad - wasnt given, chutney wasnt given at start, no salad served.
Quality - Taste of the sabji was fine. But as we could eat only 2 sabji's, I could not see the point of all this. Parking - They have a board that says Valet, but I could not see anyone. On a Sunday evening, the area is packed and I could not find space around the restaurant. As I live nearby, I went back home and parked the car and came back on bike. My parents walked back...

Read moreVisited on gudipadwa. Food taste was good. Service was poor. The hotel is understaffed. Had to call the servers and wait as there seemed only 1 server for every dish for the entire hotel. At the start, they serve literally 1 small spoon of vegetables as u can see in the pic. These get over with 1 bite of fulka. As service was poor, had to wait for the server. I had got their menu in the afternoon itself which mentioned ukdiche modak, katachi amti and bajricha rotla but it was not served in the thali. Dal was being served as katachi amti 🤦🏻♂️. Have attached pic for reference. Had to ask for tissue papers and glasses. Worst thing was the server gave us the empty glasses with his fingers inside the glass. If this basic hygiene thing is lacking in your service industry, the quality of food though good, doesn’t matter. Aamras was way too sweet. Welcome drink of kokam sarbat was bland. Totally tasteless.
About ambience- very congested, quite small place and the worst part was AC was not working or was not set to proper temperature. It was very hot in there. Being a summer night and totally packed place, AC should have been put on at maximum. Overall an average experience. Only one time visit...
