As I got out of the car, and crossed the road towards BASHO’S, I felt I was walking into a green zone somewhere out of Pune. BASHO’S is a cozy, calm, open air place with plenty of potted plants, creepers, and trees. Rustic huts with low seating baithaks, wooden with cushions and retro music playing in the background. The IPL match was being shown on two large TV screens. There was a group watching and cheering the IPL players. Almost half full, quiet and yet private enough to enjoy with your family/ friends.

The mocktails ordered were : ••Virgin Planters Punch (Rs310) : It was very refreshing and tasty.#musthave

••Virgin Mojito (Rs310) : This was citrus infused and chilled.

••Masala papads were welcome and crispy with good taste.

Opting for half n half pizza with a thin crust, we choose :

••Basho’s Special (one half ) : Overloaded with lamb, chicken Tikka, chicken sausages, chicken salami with sweet corn, onions and olives. Lamb was very well done, fusion and Sauce, making it super duper #highlyrecommended

••Fiesta Chicken (other half) : A bit mild spiced but again a hit. Consisted of BBQ chicken, Chicken Tikka, Cheese. Ideal for kids.

••Matka Chicken Biryani (Rs380) : Boneless chicken in a spicy biryani mix with long grain rice. It was good. It came with a thick mix curd raita, lemon and onions. #recommended

Dessert menu is limited to Gajar Halwa and ice creams.

••Gajar Halwa : Simply wowed me! Sweet, full of dry fruits and made extremely well. Definitely a #musthave if you are a Gajar lover.

The quantity served was ample enough to serve 2 or 3 persons with moderate appetite and service was attentive and courteous . Menu options has Chinese also which I will try on my next visit…perhaps a lazy Sunday afternoon. Location is Eden Villas, KP...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — “A Hidden Gem That Redefines Hospitality & Flavor!”

If heaven had a pin location in Pune, it would be Basho’s. From the very first moment, this place radiates warmth — the kind that reminds you why dining out can still feel special.

The ambience is effortlessly elegant yet cozy, the music sets just the right mood, and the staff… truly a class apart. Their professionalism, patience, and positive energy reflect what genuine hospitality looks like. Even though it was closing time when I arrived, not once did I feel rushed or unwelcome. Instead, I was greeted with smiles, attentive service, and genuine enthusiasm — something rare to find these days.

The food, though, deserves its own standing ovation.

The Matka Biryani was pure magic — aromatic, flavorful, and melts in your mouth.

The Chicken Tikka was juicy and perfectly charred.

The Mutton — tender beyond words, seasoned to perfection.

Pair it with a glass of whiskey, some good music, and the Basho’s vibe — and you’ve got yourself a night you’ll remember long after it’s over.

This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. A hidden treasure tucked away from the chaos of the city, where every bite, every smile, and every song makes you feel alive again.

To the Basho’s team and management — thank you for turning a last-minute visit into such a memorable evening. Your kindness, attention to detail, and commitment to customer happiness truly stand out.

If you’re reading this and wondering where to go this weekend — stop scrolling and head to Basho’s. You’ll walk in for the food, stay for the vibe, and leave...

Honestly, when we reached, we really liked the ambience however as the place was not filled with people, we started doubting our decision of coming here on a Sunday night. To our surprise, the place turned out to be one of our best choices to visit for a cozy evening so far. The place is less explored however it has maintained its charm. The food is amazing and I would specially recommend fish and chips (obviously if you're a non vegetarian). Do not go here for loud music, dance floor, or if you're a party animal. You can certainly go here for a cozy, romantic date, f.y.i they have normal table seating as well as small hut/shack like seating so you get the option to choose the spot. You can certainly take your family members with you, however please note this place serves Alcohol and allows smoking, so in case your family doesn't approve of it, you can certainly ask for a different spot to sit in as the staff is really polite and friendly. Pro-Tip: try visiting this place on a rainy evening and I am sure you'll fall in love with the calmness it...

Basho's is a bit of a hidden gem—quite literally. Its location is unusual for such a popular spot, and we almost missed it while trying to find the entrance. But once inside, the place completely transforms your expectations. The ambiance is what truly sets Basho's apart. With lush greenery, gardens, and a traditional seating setup, the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. It’s a perfect escape from the city noise, especially if you’re looking for a laid-back, nature-inspired dining experience. I visited on a weekend afternoon, and while the vibe was great, the service left a bit to be desired. It seemed like they were understaffed, which led to some noticeable delays in getting served. As for the food, it was generally good. We tried a few chicken starters that were flavorful and satisfying. The main course was decent—not extraordinary, but enjoyable. The biryani had good flavor, though the chicken could have been a bit more tender. Overall, I really liked the place for its ambiance and relaxing environment. It’s definitely worth visiting
